Is this prequel or sequel to Tenchi Muyo! in Love and Tenchi Muyo! in Love 2: Haruka Naru Omoi ? Im confused, Or does this belong to any other tenchi version ? this is titled as 2 second movie, that's why i think it should be watched in following order > Tenchi Muyo! in Love [1996] Tenchi Muyo! Manatsu no Eve [1997] Tenchi Muyo! in Love 2: Haruka Naru Omoi [1999] Am i right ? BTW: Do I miss any worthwhile anime-romance from guy's point of view in MAL? Let me know without hesitation :)  |

I know this question was asked a long time ago, but for anyone else who was wondering the same question, it appears that this one is part of its own storyline. It pretty much directly follows the original OVA. This chart is of great use in determining which of the Tenchi series are related to each other. |

It was only labeled the second movie by Pioneer. In reality it was based off the 12-13 books by Naoko Hasegawa. She made a series of novels that branch off of OAV1. We in the states never got them. |
