| According to Niconico Douga, Tezuka Production has announced the eleventh OVA of Black Jack. It will be the final volume of the OVA series. A live voice recording session of the OVA will be streamed on Niconico Live on May 14th. The OVA series had been released from 1993 - 2000 and the late Dezaki Osamu had directed the whole series. I look forward to more Black Jack, long as Sugino does the character designs though, otherwise it'll just be another random little Black Jack ova, a dime a dozen over the last decade. |

| Awesome news, but how can they continue doing it in such a style after Dezaki's death? There should be involved Akio Sugino -- the art of these OVA was unique, i guess no one else can draw this... otherwise the OVA will fail just like TV did |

| ANN and AniDB now have the two new episodes listed as a separate OVA "Black Jack Final", and this OVA remains at 10 episodes. Shouldn't it be the same over here? |
| I vote for separate entry because there is no way a modern studio would not miserably fail to keep the atmosphere. Do we need a Frankenstein monster? Obviously, no. Update: I've clicked through dvdrip of the new OVAs and they look very decently done, also note that the episodes have title screens with "Karte 11" and "Karte 12". |
