| Episode revising my back in the cast, Tsuyoshi there is even today, along with the rest of the cast. The narrative it beneficial and also the gags nonsense. Drawings erratic, good animations instead. Sure Professor Izumi, has no aesthetic sense! : P |

| I had a moment of doubt about this show, but either it's growing on me, or this episode was absolutely hilarious :D In a way, Nichijou reminds me of some twisted Japanese Monthy Python, with all those absurd jokes and (especially) completely random interludes. |

| Easily the best and most consistently funny episode yet. First, I loved the daruma scene with all my heart. Professors childish adventure doodling on it with Sakamoto while they laughed until they cried was good, but the part I loved was Sakamoto's cool and casual "farewell", and Professors improv pregnancy escape. What a cute and childish character. I wonder how she came to being raised by the people she made and brought in. The second scene I loved was the one where Yuuko and Mai were playing rock paper scissors. Mai's teasing and Yuuko's mission to create a deep friendship with Mai has grown on me and warmed up to me a lot, even if it was already great. Definitely my favorite relationship in Nichijou. I also laughed incredibly hard at Yuuko's fear of the newly carved buddha being a reincarnation of the last. And the third scene that sold this episode to me was the drawing scene. Mio tries to be humble about her drawing skills, but that's mostly due to what she draws, sexy naked Sasahara's. But hearing someone appreciate the wrong art, the least patrician art you could possibly view set her off into a rampage. THIS IS WHAT COOL IS! And who hasn't had a passionate argument like that, based off the subjectivity of a word and the spite for someone who enjoys something you don't. Yuuko copying everything Mio did poorly and getting more praise was quite funny and shows that some things are more aimed towards other people. I actually felt a bit bad for Yuuko when Mio started to try and one up her and she got a bit angry, but then I realized Yuuko's anger and competitiveness comes from a place of being a sore loser like when she lost 100 arm wrestles in a row and it made it a little easier to take in. |

I did not really enjoy the first 4 episodes, which I watched last summer, and after watching episode 4 I placed it in MAL's proverbial ice. That was because I was bored (-->depressed), and was looking for an anime that made sense, not one with a schoolgirl pulling bazukas and RPGs out of her behinds. Nichijou barely makes any sense at all. And that, after all, is OK. During the first half of last summer I was not doing anything, and I watched 6 - 8 anime episodes per day just to entertain my boredom and fill my tedium. I was not working, i.e. I was not writing. Between mid July and September I wrote a 52K-word novel for MAL-Honeyfeed's web novel contest. I had already iced Nichijou though, and during that time I barely had time to watch anime. Between early October and early December I started getting bored and inactive again, but I watched other anime, not Nichijou. Since early December I only watched one anime episode, the finale of the S2 of Mushoku Tensei. The last two months I've been working like crazy, and today was the day I finally decided to take a break (a non-social-media break I mean 😅️ ), so I gave Nichijou a second chance. I'm glad I did. This episode was one of the funniest and most relaxing anime episodes I've watched in a while - or, at least, that's how my current starving for something relaxing and 'anxiolytic' eyes perceived it. I felt better, more relaxed and breathed easier when I finished this episode. And that is all that matters. |
