| Second time watching this anime after about 7 months, and this episode STILL makes be bawl like a little kid. There's just so much emotions between Shiro and Rin...the anime really makes it more heartbreaking because when I read the manga, I wasn't as sad about Shiro's death. It's probably also because of Sawano Hiroyuki's awesome composition skills...that BGM when Shiro died and Rin took out the sword was so beautiful, yet heartbreaking. I still often listen to the Ao no Exorcist soundtrack because it's just that amazing. It's too bad that Shiro didn't get to hear Rin call him "tou-san" once more... By the way, I like both the OP and ED...because I love UVERworld and 2PM :P |

| I don't feel like listening to the ED, and the OP is ok. I can't believe the Father died.. You don't always get even as much drama. I'm interested to see what's there to happen for 25 episodes.. it's like I can't even imagine some kind of plot, not to talk about 25 episodes of it. I hope it'd be worth it. |

| Quite amazing episode, what I find rather strange is that the story develops very fast although the pace of episode doesn't at all they really managed to find a way of very much story telling in one episode and still catching the interest from the viewer. Lets see what's next! The ED still bothers me as it doesn't fit... |

| Rather dramatic episode, Rin yelling at his dad to drop dead (figuritively speaking), and then Dad does drop dead. Interesting little setup here, the son of Satan fighting Satan...will stick with this anime and see what happens. |

| Well, this episode was strangely interesting, but I voted 3/5, because was all predictable and to me was like all already-saw. I'm being more pleased about the animation and artwork than the first episode. I still think the character design isn't all that good, and what a pain seeing this new character, the head of the True Cross Knight Order.. don't tell me he'll be a constant being throughout the show, because I found him quite annoying at first sights, but I've got the feeling he'll definitly be. What stimolates my mind most is the Satan's quote about Rin's mother.. I would really like to know why he said that. But it reminds me of Devil May Cry, obviously the games plot, in particular the third one. |

| Well that was great, I honestly did not expect Satan himself to step in and say hello, especially as the shotgun wielding priest. That guy in white seems to be a bit of an ass, I don't like him.  |

| Good episode. The OP is good imo, indifferent about the ED. This episode was a pretty intense overall, felt great to see the startup of rin as a demon. Can't wait for him to get stronger! |

| That was pretty intense. The story has been developing quite well, but now we enter the "high school" phase so it remains to be seen how well the show can maintain the great momentum it's gained thus far. Rin's decision is usually something that a stereotypical hotheaded, determined, vengeful shounen "idiot" tends to propose, but in this situation it isn't outlandish or lolz-worthy. It's either he proves his allegiance and survives or be killed without remorse. I'm also seeing some interesting associations between the choices of the dub cast and their later recent roles XD |

| No disappointment, the sensations experienced in the previous episode, were not a flash in the pan. Interesting and engaging narrative, describe the plot, in the light of the final promo, all that has run so far, since it was just the preamble to a long story, better that way. Drawings and animations, enough, too bad he's dead, the priest, was quite interesting as a character. |

Before watching the episode I went to wiki because of curiosity to check Satan page and picture was of Rin's father , I thought that his father is Satan himself , but at least now I realised that he was possessed. Curiosity don't go on me again ! Mephisto Pheles , Damn , just at the time when we study Goethe's Faust in school ! |

| Damn that opening is so good, absolutely love it. Oh man poor Rin, his stepfather had to sacrifice himself because of fucking satan. ;_; The fight scenes were good and now Rins demon power awakened. That guy at the end which Rin had to call was weird but pretty funny at the same time. And now he will go to the same university as his brother? I wonder what will happen if they see each other. |

| That fight between those demons and the priests inside the church, though. Goddamn! And so Satan possessed Rin's father and sacrificed his life just to save Rin. He was an awesome man, though. Tch. RIP, maaan. Kamiyan's voice sounds so different as Mephisto, you can't even recognize his voice here. What the hell. What the hell. Gaaaaaaaaah! Hajimemashite, Kamiyan-- I mean Mephisto-san. Hehe. And now Rin is under him as an Exorcist and his goal is to kick Satan's, his own father, ass. Oh and yes Rin's actual look showed up because he used that special sword which has been concealing his true power. Love love loved this episode. <3 And I just realized that I love the ED more than the OP. The ED was so catchy. |

| Yeah it was fine, it's just a shame that they portrayed Satan as this crazed guy. I always imagined him as a sort of cool, collected person who wears suits. |
