Bandai Entertainment Acquires Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto

According to their official twitter, Bandai Entertainment announced at Sakura-Con its license of the 25 episode TV anime series Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto.

Bandai Entertainment's tweet said:
DASHING ENTRANCE! We've acquired Star Driver!

This is good news. I'm glad Funimation didn't get it.

I just can't see it working out as a dub though. The original is so fabulous. Not to mention that there are a lot of lines that wouldn't translate well into English.

Ah well, even if they dub it, it's not like I'd be forced to watch the dub anyway.

Yeah, and Fractale came out after Star Driver did, but had already been picked-up by FUNimation since it began its run with the Winter 2011 season. Just because something is released first doesn't mean that it will be licensed first~ =w="

Aniplex is going to be streaming the series on Hulu, Crunchyroll and Crackle starting on August 17.

This was announced at Aniplex's Otakon panel.

Madoka is already licensed by Aniplex of America. Plus, Star Driver aired last fall and those two shows you mentioned they came out right in the beginning of this year.
