| The OP is so trippy, I love it. The song is in English too, I always love when anime has English openings. "I'm gonna rape and kill you one of these days, you ****" lol I love that music where Ganta realizes that he has to win no matter what. That is one fucked up show, watching people die...but I guess they just think it's "special effects". The final showdown reminds me of a game from Mario Party or something lol. |
| What I wanted in this episode: some new characters. Like Gimme those, right now. Because they're damn awesome. Well, good episode, anyway. And I'm getting pretty attached to having Shiro voiced by Hanazawa Kana. Anyway, something I've always found weird, Shiro's eyebrows. They look just as weird in the manga. On another note, I'm actually kinda glad they're skipping Azami. Never liked her, despite being kinda important. |

| It seems they will go with a different direction in the story, by cutting some scenes and characters here and there. And what's with the camera movements in the final race? That crazy back and forth movement was a little messed up, not to talk about when the panels disappeared and then reappear in the next shot and so on... Oh manglobe... | Wow, that's not entertainment, that's total massacre. How can you honestly call that a race, it's a bloody survival game. When someone in the crowd said "Those are awesome special effects" all I was thinking was "THIS IS INSANE." The whole thing is like a SAW remake. |
| It didn't feel as dramatic as it was in the manga, plus there wasn't much gore in the scenes as i hoped there would be, though still a good ep =3 |

| Eh... it was alright. Lots of gore and the only real good part was Ganta finally stopping to be such a wimp. Too bad he's still clueless. How does he not figure that guy from the infirmary stole his candy, or realize until the end that Shiro was saving his ass the whole race? |

They would be taking out a large chunk of the story and plot progression if they don't animate her later arc. PLUS earlier on she plays a few side roles into developing Gantas personality. I just don't get it, why would they change it that much. |
| Well, this episode was wonderful, but have characters that still a mystery "Dog Race" = tense, mainly the part of the "big guy" fall down... Main character don't pleases so much to me :x, as "when I'm in trouble" I turn man... 4/5 i'm waiting for next episode... |

| I see that they removed some important scenes and characters that were in the manga, which means that the producers will somehow alter the events in order to fit the story into 12 episodes. I don't really like this since I was hoping that the anime would be more faithfull to the manga. Oh, and the censorship is very annoying. |
| I don't mind the censoring at the moment, as long as they release an uncensored version on the dvd. That would be cool. (especially more so if it got licensed) |

| Cool episode. I didn't read the manga (nor do I plan to), so I couldn't care less what changes they make. All I can say is that I like the anime so far and I'll keep watching it until the end. |

It's not like they can't introduce her later. And they moved one scene from the caffeteria to the field, again, big whoop. If you don't like it, don't watch it, but stop throwing a fit, nobody cares about your whining. Worry if there's no Azami when RedMan gets ahead of her. Then we can talk. |

| I'm starting to get worried about this show. My favorite is Azami and I was eager to see her animated. I won't still conclude that she will be removed from this show like most of you guys think. I still have hopes for her to show up, Manglobe doesn't stray from the manga this much yet. They are so faithful for any adaptations so far(at least 90% of manga adaptation or so) |
| I didn't expect this show to be so good. Poor Ganta, just basically thrown in one of the worst situations imaginable where he could die at any moment. Also, Shiro is so cute, I love her, even if she is a little bizarre. |

| Can't wait until my favorite character in DW debuts. Somewhat disappointed that this episode was a bit different from the manga but as long as my favorite character eventually shows up, I'll keep watching. I hope her voice sounds awesome as well~ |

| Wow, I definitely would have to agree with Ganta in wondering why so many people would enjoy watching that crap. I never hated Shiro or anything, but I thought that it was awesome how she did all those things to protect Ganta. :U Might have to start the manga after the anime ends. |

| Wow. This show is super dark, to the point where I can't see any good coming out of Ganta's ventures. I'm getting darkness induced apathy... Seriously, I just don't care anymore. Is the audience that stupid to believe the graphic deaths in front of them are special effects??? Also, is Shiro like Stewie (Family Guy) or something? Its like the characters selectively take notice of her. |

I don't see why I can't be disappointed in that. No disappointment doesn't = I hate the show or the ep. They may have taken out a scene I wanted to see, but I still find this episode to be very good. Though I probably would have called it a master piece if they included that scene in. :P |

| FIRST OF ALL. Dat Opening. -cough- I'm pretty bummed that they cut out Azumi, but hopefully it's for a good reason. Regardless, I liked this episode. Not the best, but not bad enough that I'll drop it anytime soon. I just can't wait for Senji to appear. Seeing him animated will proooobably blow my socks off. |

| This is one of those times where the manga seriously outdoes the anime... replacing one character with another entirely? I mean come on...blah. I think I'll just end up dropping this if dumb changes and cuts like that keep happening. Turns it into an "alternate reality" rather then an adaption of its manga counterpart imho. Azami is just..awesome, how could they remove her from all that. (I miss Azami D: ) |

| WOW the opening song was horrible, the art and animation of the OP where great but the song didn't fit. As for the episode I prefer the first episode, but still it was entertaining despite the whole butchering in the storyline. I was expecting this adaptation to be 100% or at least 99.9% faithful to the manga, guess I was wrong there. But so far the 2 episodes have been enjoyable, in some way, waiting for Crow to appear. |
