10/10 The Ending Was, Don't Know, Nor Sad Nor Happy, Somewhere Between. And I Guess Nothing Ends There Since I Read Somewhere That There Will Be Season 2. Anyways, Here's What's Been Boggling My Mind - Were All Girls In This Show ... You Know. I Mean Homura Was Totally Into Madoka... Yeah, And Homura Was The Best Charater Of This Show, She Was So Kick Ass. |

From translated interviews i've read, the creator would do another season if they let him. However, the third Madoka movie will be a new story. I assume that means after the end of the anime, but we'll see. |

HOLY. SHIT. Me after watching episode 11: Wow, that series is really interesting, surprisingly dark and yet gives you a lot to think about, love the music and the whole surreal thing they do with the animation is quite something too - definitely giving it at least a "9"! Me after watching episode 12: How do I rate this sh*t "-100"? Seriously. The ending is THE WORST I've ever seen in my life. And I'm not saying it just because I'm angry, no - I've thought about it. And I can't remember ANY series ending in a worse way than this one. That's quite something, folks. |

I would recommend reading the explanation. http://imperialx.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/madoka-doesnt-need-a-sequel-to-explain-itself/ NNick said: Hopefully They'll Make SE2, The Plot Continues From Where Se1 Left. There's nothing to continue. It's fine the way it is. Click on above link, it will explain. Homura is eventually consumed by grief after the credits. Instead of turning into a witch, Madoka reassures her nothing will happen and says it's okay to let that grief take over so Madoka can absorb the grief so the girls can smile instead of cry. Madoka’s wish was “I wish to erase every witch before they are born. Every witch from every world, from the past and the future. With my own hands.” Therefor witches will never come to light. Doesn't need a season 2. It was perfect IMO. Modified by Teldara, 07-24-12, 4:17 PM ![]() |

I ventured into this series not expecting much, other than flashy art from Shaft and a beautiful composition from Yuki Kajiura. The first half of the show proved to be a bumpy ride for me, as I thoroughly struggled to understand where the plot was trying to go. Fast forward a mere six episodes later, and it's rather remarkable that I was easily able to chalk this up as one of my favorite anime ever. TL;DR things went better than expected. ![]() |

I agree that it doesn't really need a second season to explain itself. I like that the ending wasn't all perfect happy. I think too many anime series try to do that and it ends up ruining things. I dunno. I just didn't click with the show at all. I watched it directly after Stein;s Gate which was probably a mistake. The 2 are on completely different levels (SG kicks ass frankly). I appreciate what it was trying to do but yeah - kinda just ended up being a 'meh' for me. |

I'm glad I finally gave this a shot. I have a newfound appreciation for Mahou Shoujos. Homura and Madoka slowly grew on me and won me over. Epic doesn't even begin to describe the last two episodes. It's obvious that there won't be a 2nd season but I'm still hoping for an OVA. At least to explain some of the questionable elements of the last episode such as where the demons come from, why Kyubey still collects energy, and maybe the ending (though I doubt it). |

A trilogy will be released, so look forward to it. However, it is the third movie in the trilogy that will contain completely new content, while the first two will be recaps. |

Alrighty... now that I've finally registered... I thoroughly enjoyed the ending. However, after it's over, it kind of makes you think. You know why she wished for what she did, you know that everything turned out great, but it just makes you think, were there any other options? Immediately after watching, my first thought was, could there have been any other wish that could have had the same effect, without taking herself from the surface world. Could there have been any way to just make them all human again? Thinking about how ANY wish could be granted, what other options were there, if any? I don't think they did anything wrong. As I said, I loved the ending. It's just something to think on. As for myself, were I in that situation, I wouldn't have even lasted as far as Madoka did. In the episode where Mami died, I was yelling at my computer screen telling Madoka to wish for them all to be together, or something like that. Anyway, just my thoughts. That's what I made an account to post here. xD |

The ending was very touchinggg and beautiful I almost cried :) especially at the Madoka X Homura scene. Madoka sees all the timelines and finally understands all that Homura been through now that she's a goddess. How much she had repeat her encounter with Madoka to save her :))) Homura-chan, you are my best friend! Truly Beautiful <333 Whole Series 10/10. I would give infinity/10 if given that option XD |

I may be alone in this but it wasn't all that good.I've seen this before. The whole time travel twist I just seen it in Mirai Nikki. There was also used in stuff like Misfits, and many other stuff. And for the Madoka and the universe thing I've seen that before as well in Devilman but better executed. If anyone really thinks this deserves a 10 they clearly have watched or read enough sh*t Modified by renders, 08-12-12, 11:40 PM ![]() |

Fast forward a mere six episodes later, and it's rather remarkable that I was easily able to chalk this up as one of my favorite anime ever. TL;DR things went better than expected. That just about describes my entire experience with this anime. Modern entertainment has trained me to expect cliche themes, two dimensional characters, plenty of dues ex machinas, melodramatic characters, panty shots, and boring/overdone/prolonged death & fight scenes. For an anime that is considered to be a psychological magic-girl thriller, I came fully prepared for every single one of those to happen at any time. There were quite a few times that I had thought "Uh oh, she's depressed. Que back-to-back two episode long melodrama." and "The situation isn't looking good. How much longer will it take for the dues ex machina to arrive?". Every time I thought stuff like that, I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't happen. In fact, I felt this massive sense of relief pass through my subconscious as my expectations were shattered. As for the episode itself, it was amazing. Kogura in the scene after the credits seemed to have a bunch of strings which appeared around her. Could those be the threads of fate mentioned earlier in the season? As I watched this episode I feel very unhappy about how it turned out. I'll assume everyone should know the plot themselves and won't spoil anything. However, it feels like an obvious sign of meddling by the executive forcing the creators to change it to the idealist tongue at the end, effectively turning this magical girl show into being not so different from the other magical girl series. I expected the ending to be either much darker, or at least ending with a wish that "THERE ARE NO MORE MAGICAL GIRLS!" |
