Last episode was an emotional rollercoaster. I truly loved this series but the ending was almost too heart wrenching.

This whole series was an emotional rollercoaster. I'm posting this only because I've been up all night thinking about it; I couldn't sleep.

I don't get the part where Mami gives Madoka's notebook back. When is that happening? After Madoka's wish? Why are both Kyoko and Mami alive? Idk I'm so confused about this.

I think it's Madoka transcending time and talking to all the magical girls as she changes the universe.

Anyone get anything from the last scene? The one where Homura is fighting the wraiths and has the wings of despair that looks like a witches' labyrinth? Just re watched the anime after buying it on blu ray, almost better the second time, definitely a 10/10

what? she wishes for every girl who would eventually devolve into a witch to not be born. how does that make her god?
because it defies rules made by previous incubators?
how does that bring them back?

She wished that she could erase all witches(not the girls themselves) before they were born, from every universe and every point in time with her own hands. That includes her witch(the giant shadow about to consume the earth) and when she destroyed herself, she ceased to exist as a person and became a concept that exists in every time. This caused the entire universe to reset with everyone forgetting about her besides Homura. So all of the magical girls are still born and become magical girls but when their soul gems get ready to turn into grief seeds and turn them into witches, Madoka takes it onto herself instead so that it doesn't happen. So, I wouldn't say she's "the god" but a god.

Oh man. I came in to this, expecting to end up dropping it due to how cutesy the characters looked but by the third episode I was hooked. Everything after that was so insane that I stayed up all night to marathon them all. I almost don't want to admit it to myself but this anime is definitely up there with some of my faves like Berserk and FMA Brotherhood. I don't feel emotion too much in anime but I felt a lot with this one.

The ending was a little strange at first but I watched it twice and it's probably the best thing Madoka could've done. I'm also glad that not everyone got to stay alive after Madoka turned back time. I would feel kinda trolled if they were all alive with the exception of Madoka. 9/10

ugh.

the final episode is quite a tear jerker, yet super epic and really memorable one. SHAFT, you guys are amazing. 9/10 from me.

This was an interesting show. This episode was pretty sad though ; A ; I mean Madoka got stuck forever in time space, and Homura continues to fight... plus she's the only one that remembers Madoka!!! :(

I felt really sad when it was the whole mom-doesn't-remember-daughter-ever-existing but her brother has a vague idea (THAT LITTLE SIBLING REMEMBER MOMENT)

All this time travel, if you really put it into perspective, Madoka and Homura would've never existed because Madoka changed the past, changing the way the future would develop in technolology and family trees etc. If Madoka's wish was to exterminate the witches from the past and present, doesn't that mean the mahou shoujos wouldn't exist? They're the ones that become witches....but I guess it does because Homura was fighting those demon things...just the time travel bothers me :P I guess the producers just made the story SEEM like it made sense, when in all reality, it doesn't.

Overall, it was a good ending episode :)
