I just got through reading “Ichi the Killer”, and I was wondering if I was the only person who found parts of this manga to be funny. For example, when Ichi would flash people that stupid-looking smile of his, I couldn't help but laugh. Another part was during the fight between Ichi and Kakihara. When Jijii described their fight as “romantic” and they had the picture of Ichi chasing Kakihara with bubbles in the background, I thought that was absolutely hilarious. A few of the more gruesome and violent scenes made me laugh too. I think that was because there are so many “WTF” moments in this manga that I had to laugh in order deal with the extreme content. Hopefully I'm not the only person found this manga to be funny. Did anyone else find a bit of hilarity in “Ichi the Killer”?    |

my fav was when he was chasing the Karikara or w/e his name was. And then when the bird pooped on his finger to cause him to slip and fall. I LOL'd |

It's meant to be a dark comedy, no one should actually take this Manga seriously. It's simply hilariously over the top. The movie is pretty funny, too. |

*Mature picture people, you have been warned* I actually found the naked and awkwardly grizzly, chase funny... Kakihara falling after; dangeling from a building with one finger, being spat at, stones threw at him, then finally, the bird poo...  |
