I have constantly said that I would pay an arm and a leg to see the Jinchuu arc animated in its truest form (and not some third rate OVA). This news is the best way to start my week.

Even if they just solely animated the Jinchuu arc, I'd be happy. But I would imagine they are going to start from the very beginning, which I also would have no problem with. As with DBZ Kai, they have the full source material, wouldn't have to wait around for the mangaka to release chapters and as a result, there would absolutely be no need for any fillers.

I guess it depends on what studio will end up doing it. I do hope whoever does get tabbed to do it, they make the anime a bit more serious than the previous one (despite the fact that I did enjoy the anime series anyway).

I just hope this announcement isn't only for a few OVAs but for a full fledged series. I guess this also means that there has been some high interest in Japan to see this series revived again.

Can't wait. :D

Yay! Jumping up and down right now. This was the one that started it all for me. I hope it's the Jinchuu arc they're animating and according to the manga.

So glad I paid attention to these notices for once.

I agree with the person above me that I'll be happy with just the Jinchuu arc being animated but also wouldn't mind a more serious take on the whole series either, as long as they go all the way with it and not stop at the kyoto arc.
