According to Yahoo Finance, 4Kids Entertainment announced that they have filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The bankruptcy filing covers all the domestic subsidiaries of 4Kids. As a result of the filing, the lawsuit over the license of Yu-Gi-Oh! series has been suspended. 4Kids will continue their business during the pendency of the bankruptcy. I would have liked to have posted 'inb4 people only read the word 'bankrupt' and have no idea what 'under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code' means, but I am too late. If they were filing under Chapter 7, the company would be dead. Chapter 11 does not mean the company has gone under. If you take anime seriously, you're autistic. |
