Have you played it, or did the title simply intrigued you?

It's a fan-made Madoka side-scroller, still in development, but with several characters and stages already. Wiki page.
It's quite good, in fact, and, in Expert, difficult as hell. I'm still playing on novice :P

Still playing on Novice, platform games were never my specialty, but I'll get to Expert eventually. I'l doing the whole series on it, so you're welcome to subscribe favorite like watch.

Here's the download link, but follow the instructions on the wiki. I still wasn't able to make my computer read the kanji, and that's why it's full of bugged characters.


There's also a bundle of browser games, short as hell, but fun.

I've tried a couple of times, but suck at it. Seeing some vids on Niconico of people clearing the game within a couple of minutes makes me even more frustrated.

Some more fluff to overcome the wait: shimeji (chibi's that crawl, climb, jump and fall along your screen).

If they don't work, go into the conf folder and name the 43 KB file 動作 and the 10 KB file 行動.

Yes, loads. If you have a pixiv account, the tag is *しめじ (and than do some translating to find out the password for the download), or google anime shimeji.
Otherwise just ask on my page which characters you're looking for.

It wouldn't have to be lengthy. It could perfectly be the pre-OP scene (well, not full a flashback, but my Ep 11 scenario).

I'm still wondering about using it at all... you saw just how much my computer sucks, from the videos (I mean, a 2008 laptop lagging badly on a flash game? Jesus...).

But if I do get it, I'll be sure to ask you.

The best way to play this game is to play the Oktavia stage with Sayaka ^^

Even better on the bonus stage, I guess :P

Still haven't been able to show the characters properly. I'm getting tired of the corrupted crap :(

Anyone interested in working on an English translation of this game? I hacked this together in a few minutes using information on the wiki:



As you can see I also have the funky-character problem (too lazy to change my Windows locale to Japan/Japanese) and figured I'd clean it up a bit. I don't know Japanese but if anyone is willing to let me know what the messages say in the game/menus I can throw a small English patch together -- It's amazing what a locale change and some Google translate can do. I do have a problem on how to write the authors name in English. If a native speaker wouldn't mind telling me how to romanize this fine authors name/alias it would be appreciated.

I don't know what the rules are for linking to files here, as I rarely post, but if its alright I'll go ahead and post the English-menu for those interested.

I have about 90% of the game text translated at this point. Whoops =).

Played it like an hour ago, thanks to whoever put it on the wiki page.

It's rather fun, but it's too bad there's no extra rounds, so you can keep the girls you already have. Otherwise, you can only max your score in a single run.
And I have some trouble with hat, since I end up saving 80% of the girls, instead of thinking how many I should let become a witch :(

At first I hurried the girls into the witches barrier lol, but that's not handy. You get this bundle of witches and the girls popping up there die instantly. It's better to let them reach a high power-level and than let them turn into witches -> more points.
And it took me a while to notice you don't get anymore points once Walpurga arrives.

Heh, I'm having trouble finding a balance. I spawned a witch from a lv 8, but almost my others died against it (couldn't even see what level the witch was).

I hope they will add the experienced Homura in the next version. I suck at playing with the glasses Homura. I think 1.08 should be released today / tomorrow. Seems that this game is updated weekly.

Version 1.08 was released. Got a new stage. Don't know what to call this stage. Seems like some kind of story mode. But I can't read kanji so I'm not really sure. But you can meet Madoka and Kyuubey in this new level. So I think the next playable character will be Madoka.

I'd say that's some kind of tutorial, not story mode. Then again, I can't be sure, I still have the messed up characters.
Any news on the English patch?
