This is more a question for the girls on MAL, and it's probably been asked before, but i'll ask it now as well.

So what do you think it is about Yaoi that makes so many girls like it? Cause seriously...even girls I know that aren't anime fans seem to have Yaoi fantasies >.<

Question. Do you like yuri (girl x girl romance)?

If you do, then it's basically the same as you liking yuri, but reversed due to girls getting turned on by guys and not the other way around.

If you don't, it's a bit harder to understand, I suppose.

I guess you can say it's the same reason why some guys like Yuri.

well apparently it's not just the the same as guys liking Yuri, some people have (yes they did studies on this o.O) done studies and found there's a physical level to it as well. Also @Ammish: O.o that was kinda harsh...and just a little twisted...

Here's the difference though. In yuri, it just means there are more holes than the there are sticks (only one, from the guy watching it). And more girls to one guy has been a staple since ancient history. LOL

Probably similar reasons to why boys like ecchi/moe/hentai. I'll admit wholeheartedly I like my fair share of fan service in anime/manga.

There must be something wrong with me... :/ I dislike yaoi because I don't find it appealing, for lack of a better word, and kinda freaky. Sorry lol but yuri for me is a-ok.

If you like 1 guy why the hell wouldn't you like multiple guys doing stuff? It's 100% the same as guys liking Yuri.

Girls holding hands while walking doesn't immediately mean it's yuri. When guys do that, there's only one conclusion...

Even girls kissing is still not seen in the same way as guys kissing.

Why do guys enjoy hentai (or regular porn) and most of the girls don't?
Because it focuses on girls, and girls generally are attracted to guys.
Yaoi focuses on guys, simple as that.

I really would like an in depth answer from a yaoi fangirl, I've been wondering this myself for quite some time.

Its really no different from guys who like yuri/lesbian action. I guess theres just something about 2 of the same members of the opposite sex getting it on thats highly attractive. not sure why tho.

Because we don't like seeing other girls with guys. lol

Some girls like the idea of the guy on guy concept, same as some guys like the idea of the girl on girl concept.
