Strange but cool one-shot episode. And Baka Ouji got owned hard :)

'Twas a nice episode, but the ending felt like couple of minutes were cut out.

Krafts car crash scene was priceless.

Back to a proper Level E episode after that out of place drama one last week. This one was as good as the initial arc, and the last two look very promising as well. Baka was priceless, and Kraft was top notch. Especially liked Baka getting spun around while laughing like a little girl.

Not extremely interesting and kind of disappointing that they didn't exactly show them getting out of there. The prince getting own at the end and Kraft preparing a celebration was hilarious though.

Craft and Baka had a few good moments but i felt like this was a pretty bad episode. They cut out the getting out part which undermined the whole problem of being stuck in there. I am excited the originals are back though.

Yay for Yukitaka Tsutsui returning, and it seems from the preview he's going to be in the next episode as well. It had a few funny moments, but it wasn't the most interesting episode. It was real funny what happened when Baka said plan 3 for getting out, and Craft trying to think of a way to keep Baka trapped while getting everyone else out.

This episode had Inception written all over it. I loved that guy's face when he realized that Prince Baka was also on the bus. I want the last episode to have all the characters from the previous arcs meet up and do something actually I just want the Rangers and Yukitaka and his friends to meet up. I wonder how will the episode be it that happens.

Hmmmm....I was a bit disappointed with how much material they cut out from the manga arc for this with this episode, including quite a lot of the jokes, so it was definitely better in the manga, IMO. Even so, contrary to what most other people feel, I found this episode to be one of the most interesting stories by far. Its light on the comedy but it actually has an interesting premise, and its not really about sports, but admittedly its downplayed in the anime which really rushed the whole thing and left out a lot of additional comedy scenes from the manga as well as some of the interesting character interactions and dialogue. Then again, this also kind of struck me as one of the stories that's more interesting when reading it than when actually watching it.

Overall, though, I actually quite enjoyed this episode and the last one. My least favorite episodes were probably the Color Rangers ones, but once again I actually really enjoyed that arc in the manga but felt that it didn't translate too well into the anime. The Color Rangers episode that aired last week though which was more serious was ironically a lot more interesting to me. The thing about Level E is that its just a collection of short stories that don't stick to one particular genre. A lot of people just call it a comedy since it basically started out as that but that doesn't mean that every episode needs to focus on wacky humor. Even so, it is still quite easily a strange and sort of weak title by Togashi's standards, but even so he put in enough interesting elements to make this series interesting to watch through, especially since its quite short.

Agreed on all accounts. You could tell there was more to the story... but was left out.

Oh well, it was still enjoyable and just a quirky as it always is. :)

Kraft's face after realizing ouji was on the bus > the drawing in Kraft's head > car crash > Kraft's scene on how to imprison baka ouiji in the dream.
that was priceless and more than enough for me to rank the ep 5/5 xDD

Although not telling us who's subconscious the dream was in "and for sometime I thought it would be the white-haired alien's dream" is part of the troll, I'm still curious why Baka ouji is still trapped?
At least Kraft can have some peaceful time xD

I really don´t know what to make of the ending. Well, I think the prince is still trapped because they kicked him out of the stadium shortly before they solved the situation, but any information how they solved it and who the "culprit" was is missing. Disappointing.

Whoa. Inception O_o

Though I don't know how the hell did they get out from the dream but the comedy just save this ep.

Kraft's face + Kraft drawing + Kraft's car crashed = HILARIOUS xD

And yeah, Prince again managed to made me laugh again with his trolling antics. lol

I read the chapter from the manga after the episode to figure out the ending, but its even more abrupt than the anime, and there's more baka-ouji scenes in the anime. another major change is how everything goes in a coherent order and the whole thing about transferring into another reality is much more explained in the anime, whereas in the manga chapter it isnt explained in much detail.

The way I see it is that they' broke out' of the dream by winning that match; becuase in the manga, after they come to the real world, the captain says something like "now lets beat them in the real world like we did in the dream" or soemthing like that. Winning the game in the dream probably broke the whole parallel reality thing. I believe they even say that in the episode, that if they win then everything will be back to normal.
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Baka-ouji got pwned very nicely this ep, but Craft stole the show again.
I love how the Prince brings out the worst in him.

Hum, where did the Prince got explosives from?

Well, this was new to the series. So far, humans have been week, powerless, and allowed to live only by pity.
Now, we got humans trapping other beings in their minds! That caught me by surprise.

Also, Kraft can wreck my car any day, if I get to see that reaction again.
"Tonight, I sit in the eye of the storm. As fire boils around me, I press forward, winds and lightning lashing my wings. I am no match for what I face. Yet I will not back down, and though fear may place it's stranglehold on my heart, courage will see me through. With tears in my eyes, I hit full throttle. My engines become an inferno, and my weapons light up, awaiting my command.

If I die tonight, I will do so fighting for everything I believe in."

This was definitely a good episode... loved the return of Yukitaka.

It seems Craft was successful in trapping Ouji inside the dream... but obviously Baka is gonna get out, he's a genius. I'd like to see how Craft did manage to do that though... it seems they kept Craft's method a mystery. It's even possible that Baka predicted that this would happen, which is why he created so many plans to get out. But good episode.

Let's see what the last 2 episodes have to bring for us eh.

I think they got out by hitting that Grand Slam. Once they did that, the concentration/stress could be relieved because they had already won. I thought it was clever of them to not show EXACTLY how they got out. It keeps us guessing and thinking :D LOVED when Baka Ouji was being spun around like a little girl =^~^=

It's an accent from another part of Japan --I forget which part exactly. Is it Kansai --anyone know?

(I might go back to the first ep to figure it out lol)

This. I was constantly reminded of the movie throughout the episode.
While I enjoyed the ep for the most part, the abrupt ending kinda ruined it. Still, it gets 4/5 from me.

I guess Level E has now become an occult-esque anime eh? And I just completed Seikimatsu recently...so all the occult's been stuck in my head. Weirdly, aliens were totally uninvolved at all in this episode, which is considerably odd as it is supposed to be an alien-focused anime with its past few episodes everything about extra-terrestrial beings. Two episodes to the end of the anime, and I guess they will end off with a final story arc focused on Baka Ouji. 5/5 for the entertaining pseudo-scientific concept in this episode - I welcome the occult.
