So I guess Volume 9 Chapter 54 is the finale... I've seen up to chapter 50; gotta see only the last 4 when available. I hope someone translates more of the manga soon, since I've only read 34 chapters. I also own the books and am buying the ones that are being released(, but it'll still take a couple years for them all to be released. I'm looking forward to the anime and live action as well. |

It lost a bit of its magic with the second arc. I still love it though and I'll definitely be watching the live-action movie. *hopes for a nice ending* |

The first arc was perfection and one of the best reads in recent memory. I've still enjoyed the manga since then, though I would've much preferred if the story hadn't shifted away from Daikichi so much. And it would be rather sad if it ends without a good end for him. ![]() |

Perhaps with the anime on the way the translators will do the rest, i've seen a couple of possible spoilers and it's got me craving my UD. |

I'm up to 50 as well, but I definitely did not expect the awkward turn of events in volume 8. I'm wondering now if I would rather never read the last 4 chapters and preserve the first arc's purity, or read to the end and possibly taint the entire story forever in my mind. Also, the movie looks super cute. The actress who plays Rin is so cute, and can actually act decently (from what I've seen of her in dramas). And MatsuKen, who plays Daikichi, seems to have a good interpretation of him. They changed Kouki's mom into a model (Karina) though... probably to make it a happy ending after the first arc. |

If that means the anime adaption will not have a filler or open ending than I guess that's a good thing.
