The plot looks good and I haven't watched horror for awhile. Gosh, now I have to make a list of the anime I'm going to watch this 2011. The new ones are so interesting

I think Uzumaki would have been the better choice to animate too but anyway, I'm really looking forward to this *____________________*

I agree, Uzumaki anime is just like a dre-- no, a nightmare come true. But well, Gyo is better than nothing. If this does well, then Uzumaki will stand a good chance to be animated too, I hope! And... ufotable? Simply put... Unbelieveable!! Unbelieveable!! Unbelieveable!! XD <3

By the way, do we know when exactly will it be released?
Signature? I ain't got no signature! I don't need no signature! I don't have to show you any stinkin' signature!

Would have prefered an Uzumaki adaptation instead. The live action movie did not live up to my expectations. Oh well, the Gyo manga was alright. Can't wait for the release.

My first reaction when I saw this was: lol, really? I like Junji Ito's manga so I am very curious to see how this will turn out, but so far my expectations are very low, I think adapting his manga is quite hard, still if it works we might finally have a truly scary horror anime.

Can't wait to see what the outcome will be, even though horror manga does not always translate smoothly to screen.

If you leave in the US then you could buy it at any bookstore where they sell manga. And I agree with the last comment.
Actually I have yet to see it in a physical bookstore. :) And I've been to many. O: But I did manage to find it somehow and read it.

..you stopped at the v.1 cover?? xDD

OMG Yay it's coming out in a couple of months! :D That is unless the Amazon date is a lie. I don't know how it is with amazon.jp but with amazon.com you can't really assume the release date they have on there is correct.. :C but it can't hope to hurt! *crosses fingers*

I was asking because I was wondering what made the year 2007 so special as to call it one of the "best years for anime." That statement would had made perfect sense in this topic if for example another anime adaptation of Junji Ito was made in that year but that wasn't the case since all the adaptations of Junji Ito's work have been live-action movies. I was just curious as to why you were calling the year 2007 'one of the best' for anime.

fucking this

Why is it that so much people is agreeing that 2007 is one of the best years for anime? I must be missing the obvious here, but I can't understand why is that year so special. Not even to the topic in question since as far as I remember, 2007 wasn't specially known as a year where horror anime was abundant or something like that.

Yea it's definitely not one of his best works but then again his series are more for entertainment than for being thoughtful and deep.

Not because 2007 has many good horror anime or something like that. He's talking about 2007 anime in general. There are many anime that considered good and popular in that year. Maybe not everyone agree, but many people seems to agree with it.

Considering that they have been presenting Kaori instead of Tadashi, as the lead character, i doubt that kaori will undergo some of those final events...
