Despite the fact Tomokazu Seki stated in many interviews that he became a voice actor because he felt he didn't have the right "look" for live-action roles - he's actually done quite a few! Has anybody seen any of his films or television?

I've been not-so-patiently waiting for the DVD release of Daisuke Namikawa's movie Wonderful World in which Seki has a supporting role as a Hem agent, MR0. The film stars seiyuu Mamoru Miyano and Daisuke Namikawa himself, and also features well-known seiyuu Tomokazu Sugita, Showtaro Morikubo, Saiga Mitsuki, Kouichi Yamadera, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Mitsuo Iwata, Anri Katsu, and Keiji Fujiwara.

Wonderful World (ワンダフル・ワールド)

"Humans exist in two separate worlds. In addition to the reality that we know, there is a second world, known as Hem, a wild place where survival is the ultimate goal. When we sleep in our world, we live in Hem, though we retain no memory of it. However, there are a few people who are aware of Hem and its connection to our world..."

Tomokazu Seki attended the events for the movie's debut during its roadshow on 6/19/2010 at the TOHO Cinemas theatre, Roppongi Hills, Screen 7. He was available for the pre-screening greeting and live talk.

I also know Seki-san was in a sentai series called Voice Luggers, starring as Emerald. My sister had it on VHS (as well as the action figure of Emerald) but I never got to watch it... Here is her scan of the cover.

Official Website as seen through the Internet Wayback Machine, since it's a dead link now.

She also told me about his revival of an '80s story, Galaxy-Roid Cosmos X. He apparently gained alot of respect for it, originally writing the science fiction story for the publication Gekken Model Graphics starting in 1995. It evolved into a movie triology and a 52-episode television production, spawning some dramatic CDs to boot. All starring Tomokazu Seki as Hiroshi Juumonji/Cosmos X. He also sang the theme songs!

Interesting franchises for the Power Ranger fans! ;)
