According to Anime!Anime!, IG Port has announced Okiura Hiroyuki's new movie ""Momo e no Tegami". It will be premiered in 2012. It's been seven years since the project launched. Key illustration of Momo e no Tegami Staff Director & Script: Okiura Hiroyuki Animation Director: Ando Masashi ("Princess Mononoke", "Tokyo Godfathers") Art Director: Ohno Hiroshi ("Moshidora", "Ichigo Mashimaro") Key Animators: Inoue Toshiyuki, Inoue Ei ("The Cat Returns"), Honda Takeshi, Nishio Tetsuya, Aoyama Hiroyuki ("Summer Wars") Production Studio: Production I.G Synopsis: A heartwarming story for general audience. The story takes place in a small island in Seto Inland Sea. Momo lost her father and moves to the island with her mother. Her father left a letter, which said only "Momo e (To Momo)". Momo wonders what he wanted to tell her. After she finds an old book in an attic room, mysterious events begin to happen around Momo. Seems like something to keep your eye on, though the "heartwarming story for general audience"-trope is not really innovative. Check out our new Simul Watch CLUB and join if you're interested in watching stuff together with other people online to discuss about it in a more private and detailed matter than the episode discussion subforums can provide. Also the Custom Tags Club, if you like to customize your tags and don't want to wait until the MAL feature is fixed. "The Letters of Momo" huh...? The synopsis sounds boring but the production team looks excellent. Definitely worth a watch. |
