According to Dengeki, Sugii Hikaru's mystery novel "Kami-sama no Memo-cho" was announced to be getting an anime adaptation.

A manga adaptation has been serialized in Comic Dengeki Daioh since June 2010.

Synopsis:
Fujishima Narumi is a plain high school boy, who has been isolated in his class. A classmate, Shinozaki Ayaka, invites Narumi to the gardening club and introduces a hikikormori detective Alice to him. Alice hires Narumi as an assistant to solve mysterious cases involving an illegal drug "Angel Fix". But the drug entraps Ayaka into danger.

I don't think that it sounds that much like Gosick, except for superficially. It sounds considerably darker and "edgier" than Gosick, since it involves drugs, hikikormori issues, and, most dangerous of all: Gardening! (Just kidding...)

It sounds like it will be worth a look, and I like the character design of Alice! She doesn't look as loli as Victorica, though the pictures with teddy bears suggest that she might be...
