THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Well, it looks like Nizuma-kun is not so perfect at all as he has shown his weakness at making his manga more enjoyable for the readers, but he ends up fixing his habit thanks to Mashiro and the new character Shinta. There were also so much new facts to learn about keys to the success of shounen manga.

Anyway, I wonder what Mashiro will learn from Nizuma in the next episode. :D

Nakai is awesome! -NOT

hahahahahaha

I liked this new guy, Fukuda. I was really wondering who the heck was that white-haired being, and me thinking that Bakuman was realistic xD Speaking of which, Eiji is starting to remind me of Rock Lee, I think it's his excitement... and the hair. haha

It was nice to see them getting along well ^^ Before, I thought Eji was weid and mean, but now I see he's just weird! /o/

Waiting to see who's the girl at the ending... NO SPOILER PLZ

To tell the truth, I think only the refined character design stands out in this anime. Not everyone can be the one they wish and the discussions about comics are only ordinary ones. However, the stance of four comic artists in this episode is interesting even though the setting is old-fashioned. Rivals boost s each other as non-zero-sum game even though they are playing the musical chairs to get the positions of serial publication. It was a quite crisp story.

I have to say, that episode was fantastic. Definitely the best episode to date.
It's really been awhile since I haven't had to check how much time left was in the episode, I was that into it.

Finally, Fukuda! I've been dying to see him animated.
And Nakai gets in the spotlight. Can't help but feel sorry for him.
Eiji is awesome as well.
Really enjoyed this episode.
For once, I can vaguely see where they will end this season. An episode or two more will help if what I think is true.
Come on, introduce Aoki Ko already, she's been in the ending song for weeks now :3

And, Eiji is awesome as always xD

Mashiro sounds more like a "pro" when he assists Eiji.
I'm fond of Eiji's way of draw (his moves etc..)

I enjoyed this episode a lot... and Eiji of course...
luckily, they cut half of Nakai's heartbreaking speech ('annoying' would be better!) which he said in the manga!

Fukuda was half awesome, but picking on Nakai was pretty mean even if it was the truth. God, that was a great episode. I can't believe i am swallowing them helping their rivals, but this show has just convinced me it is always right somehow...

I feel sorry for Nakai especially during the scene when he weeped by himself. Can't decide whether Fukuda was putting him down or trying to help Nakai rebuilt his fighting spirit.

Loved this episode. I hope after this Mashiro and Takagi can make something fantastic.

I noticed there appears to be a female manga artist in the ending, I desperately want to see her (too many males drawing manga in this show).

It's not like Bleach doesn't have backgrounds because Kubo can't afford them, it's just that it's his style and he doesn't want to have backgrounds.

I was prepared to not like Eiji at all, but he is slowly becoming one of my favs.
I'm a little bummed because Hattori wasn't in this episode.
Fukuda-san is a bit mean-spirited when it comes to Nakai. He's talks to Nakai and about Nakai as if he chose to be 33 years old, unserialized, and an assistant.
Fukuda-san is a very nice piece of eye candy, but he seems like an ass!

And Nakai~~~ It's awesome to see this part of the manga animated... I barely remember it but I can finally retake those memories and realise why I thought the start was really good... While Shujin is having his time getting over his severe case of writer's block alongside with Kaya while writing her novel, Mashiro learns some stuff here and there.... All thanks to Fukuda Eiji and a bit of Nakai

Fukuda was certainly interesting since he's been a Tezuka contender twice and has been relegated to the runner up positions due to the genius of our dear Niizuma... He will be a decent and worthy rival in the future for Niizuma and for Ashirogi... He really knows how stuff works and that's good to see.

In Comparison the poor Nakai hasn't been serialised even once in his life and he has only won a prize 10 years ago... Imo Fukuda tried really hard to fire him up... It's such a shame that such guy still tries but can't... There's a time and place to give up but it's rather a bit too sad that he hasn't given up yet.... If he just wrote an interesting story I'm pretty sure he can end up in the regular roster of Jack Magazine... It's true that his drawings are really good... But... Oh wells... poor guy... being laugh at and looked down at is not kewl at all... Ganbare Nakai!

It's good to see that Niizuma had flaws... but now that Fukuda and Mashiro have helped him out he will be pretty much unstoppable!! It's true that editors might break your rhythm and line of work but if they help you out too then you should at least her their opinion.... Just as he did with Mashiro and Fukuda...

I also wanna see Aoki Ko animated!! Maybe she will appear in episode 19.... Or maybe in next one... Who knows but things will get more interesting from now on

Signs,
Green

I agree! Not that I dislike our male cast, but it'd be nice to have a female who isn't there to be a girlfriend. :)

Loved this episode to pieces. Fukuda-san is just purely amazing. Why did I have this show rated a 7? I bumped it up to an 8, which I should have done a long time ago. Bakuman is probably going to at least be a 9 by the time it's finished, though.

Anyways, did I mention Fukuda-san is awesome? I love his personality! And I loved those three brainstorming for Eiji. That was just great. I can't wait to see how all of this turns it. And I'm sure Takagi will have an incredible name waiting for Mashiro when they get back to writing/drawing. ^_^

Fukuda was really interesting though he's rude to Nakai.
I felt really sorry for him. He's crying over his dream which he longed for 10 years. :(
Nizuma shows some weakness which make him more interesting.
I expected something more from Takagi and Kaya this ep but I failed.

I really, really liked this episode. I mean it's been awhile since I enjoyed one this much. Fukuda is everything I thought he'd be, I was waiting for him to show up! lol but I love how he, Mashiro and Eiji interacted and talked about manga. I didn't like Eiji at first but now he is one of my favorites, I mean he's so damned eccentric how can you not like? Anyway hopefully things continue being interesting and fun.

This is definitely my favorite episode so far<3 Moritaka shines XD I knew it, he'll just be so awesome when he's with Eiji and when he's talking about Manga. He was just amazing when he was talking to Eiji and Fukuda. And he looked like he cared for Nakai (God, Moritaka I love you <3) And his conviction with Ashirogi Muto is lovely.

AND FUKUDA SHINTA I WAS WAITING FOR YOU<3 He's so awesome. He's too awesome I don't have words for it. But him being here just makes the anime all the more exciting. I'm so glad he straightened up Eiji. He should get serialized soon :3

I was so happy for Yuujirou, that poor editor. He's adorable so he should be given more slack XD At least now Eiji will be easier to handle.

I loved the scene with Eiji bowing down. His lines were perfect too. I'm glad he realized all that because of Mashiro and Fukuda!

And lastly, Nakai. Poor guy. I seriously cried when he was crying. Poor him, especially since Fukuda picks on him a lot. I want him to succeed too<3 I don't wat him to cry again :|
