| Huh, I thought ep 1 made it pretty clear that this wasn't your typical happy go lucky magical girl anime. The very first scene in the first ep is pretty eerie. |
| Actually the show is exactly what I expected it to be. And wasn't too shocked when I saw episode 3 as the show was already twisted. |
| Man, I bet they're having a blast. I can just see the guy giggling as he promises his new work will be all rainbows and unicorns. But it's not like I'm complaining, this is exactly what I was hoping for. @MikeOnHighway61: First of all, use spoiler tags. Second of all, some wishes could be forbidden or they could get corrupted, taken too literally, have side effects, look useless in retrospect when your whole family is murdered and you wasted the wish on something relatively trivial...there'll be massive drama no matter how they deal with the issue. And then there'll be more massive drama that's unrelated to this particular issue. Trust me, this series is gonna be dark and the events of episode 3 WILL have consequences. |
| Lol, Ever since I heard the ending theme Magia (from the CM), I was certain this show would never be your fluffy lighthearted magical girl show lol. So dark and rock. And first 3 episodes just confirmed it all. 8D |

as far as Urobuchi is concerned, I only watched Requiem for a Phantom and... yeah, let's not talk about that...-.- But ok, we shall see how the whole thing works out, this was just me speculating here^^ |

| No need to apologize. In fact, Madoka Magica (aka Faust - The Animated Series) might turn out to be the best Shaft series in a long time (as far as I'm concerned) thanks to G.URObuchi's writing. |

The moment his name dropped, people knew what this show would become and that anything he said contrary to that was merely him luring those expecting another fluffy moe mahou shoujo anime into a false sense of security (while confirming that which was suspected by those who know the man's work). Either way, I quite welcome the change in the usual MS format, as I kinda grew tired of the genre lately. I wish more producers had the guts to do this rather than follow the tired and true route of keeping the 'kids' happy. |
