I like that :p Oh, i liked how Mami died :D I really hated her attitude when she wouldn't listen to Homura You know she set a death flag after she said "Will you really fight with me from now on? Will you stay by my side?" ^ that's a line you'd expect from a game just before someone goes out and gets killed lol LOL Bring her up just to bring her down harder than ever Liked the horror scene. Sort of. (Wanted more but that's just asking for too much) HAHAHAHA XD I loved the ending |

| NOOO! Did Mami die? UGHH! This is incredible... such a gripping show... but still I was looking forward to Madoka and Mami being partners! Now it seems that Madoka has been pushed into a position where she HAS to become a magical girl, to now avenge Mami! Can't wait to see what happens next! |

| I feel like they're just going to wish her back, this show can't be that predictable can it? Anyway, that was an awesome episode. I hope they don't bring her back. I liked her but I just hate when shows do such a predictable thing. Killing off an early character like that isn't predictable, and that's what made this episode really awesome. It was a nice and dark surprise. |

| That escalated quickly... I was beginning to really like Mami when she started to reveal her true feelings, but that was probably the plan all along... I hope she comes back. ;( |
| Alright. When are they gonna wish Mami back to life? Also it was so obvious that Mami was gonna die. She got overconfident, she was rushing it and Homura told them that this witch was stronger but she didn't care. |

| I agree it would be a shame if the twist in Ep. 3 (or indeed any of the twists in this anime) were to be seen as the main reason for watching it. For one thing, it would reduce its rewatchability almost to zero if shocks were all it had to offer. That's not been my experience, though. While the twists are effective as twists, they earn their keep because also tell us things of continuing relevance and importance about the world the story is set in. As a matter of fact, though I wasn't spoiled for the series, I wasn't as shocked by Mami's death as I was by some of the later events, perhaps because I hadn't watched enough MG series to know that this was the kind of thing that wasn't suppose to happen. Also, the whole surreal architecture of the maze made it hard to be sure what was actually going on, which reduced the visceral impact, at least for me. (The manga is more explicitly gory.) I also didn't find the first two episodes boring, mind, though I think they were deliberately generic in some ways. |

This is only gonna be a 6/10 anime to me then if this is the best it gets. I don't think this episode was really much better than the previous two, despite the "twist." I already knew the nature of this anime and was expecting some shocking deaths to occur, and the first two episodes weren't light on hinting "being a magical girl is some dangerous shit." That said, I liked the episode and didn't expect anyone to die THIS soon. In fact, I wish Mami hadn't died yet. As has been said prior, we weren't really given the chance to feel attached to her character. Seeing her body hang there was pretty cool though; too bad the "gruesome" part of her death was off screen. The best thing about this series so far is the terrifying atmosphere of the labyrinths. Even when nothing was happening, just the nature of the labyrinth makes my skin crawl. |

| Poor Mami, she had an harsh life as an mahou. Still, some interesting points where raised on this episode. |
| I was expecting some head roll, or at least, some black figure resembling the head to show she got CHOOOOOPED! V/ (MCM fans will know) Nevertheless I like she dissapearing from the scene, she was too shady for my taste. | Wow.. The cute style of the characters really led me to believe this would be one of those feel god animes where there aren't any real consequences and the "heroes" always prevail. I can't believe they just killed Mami like that... I'm very interested, looks like this anime is going to be more than what meets the eye! |

| I love how this makes sense of everything so far, kind of. Because Mami just doesn't want to be alone in this, to the point of being willing to put others in her same situation, whereas Homura knows very well what's at stake and is willing to bear the burden alone, no matter the pain. So even though Mami is the more sympathetic one, in a way Homura is the one most like Madoka's mom. I think the reason people didn't get that angry is because there's a lot of foreshadowing, like Homura constantly warning them while Mami is so overconfident. You're just waiting for her to get hurt. Most people also know Urobuchi's reputation. There's also the fact that they can possibly wish her alive again. We don't know the rules yet. I wonder what would happen if you wished the witches away ... I tried watching this back when it was airing, but I was kind of very distressed at the time, by other life circumstances, so I couldn't focus enough to finish it. Loving it now though, even if ... As much as I love playing with expectations, being cruel to your characters, I'm wondering if this might be too much for me because of how cutesy it is compared to how completely brutal for example Mami's death was just now. No romance to it, no kind of redemption, nothing gained. Just, all of a sudden, dead. Makes me feel empty and sick. |

Based on what Homura said, I certainly expected the witch to be more than Mami could handle, but I didn't expect her to die! :( I agree with a lot of people here that one of them needs to wish Mami back to life. To be honest, the possibility didn't even occur to me right away. Probably cuz I was too busy being shocked! lol Thankfully, the artwork wasn't nearly so strange this time around! ✿ 5/5 |

| I am in SHOCK. I was like, "Aww, what a cute witch that is!" Then a hideous thing came outta' that cute witch and ate Mami-san up o_o Just when Mami-san was about to find a shoulder to cry on, a duo to fight with. Homura-san does have a point, doesn't she? Loved the ED, Kalafina's always been a favorite. And loved how the ED was portrayed. A guess I even shed a teardrop or two for Mami-san. I just hope Madoka will think over her decisions ;~; |
