According to Natalie, Kumeta Kouji's manga Katte ni Kaizo was announced to get an OVA anime adaptation. The first volume will be released on April 27th. The production studio is Shaft and the general director is Shinbo Akiyuki.

Release dates:
1st volume: Apr 27th
2nd volume: Jun 22nd
3rd volume: Aug 24th

Katte ni Kaizo had been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from April 1998 - July 2004. The art and the satire of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei were originated from this series.

I agree he is a good director, but all of his works start to feel the same after a while. It was unique the first few times, now it is just what to expect if Shinbo is directing.

Well I guess this makes sense since it's the same guy who made SZS. As much as I loved that series, it got a little too social commentary-ish and Japanocentric in the later series, but this one sounds like it'll have a broader appeal.

I'm looking forwards to this series, I love the shows that Shinbo has directed.

I just finished watching Zetsubou Sensei. But since it'll be on a once a week basis for strange things then I can handle it.
