| This show is relentless with making fun of haters and dumb fans. Earlier on Kamiyama called out the manga elitists and now we're making fun of hipsters, which intentional or not, I'm sure a fair share of cromartie fans have been in that kids place. And we even got Yamaguchi earlier in the series being a harsh comedy critic and watching a "dumb" comedy show to try and understand the appeal of it, something I'm sure people have done themselves with cromartie. It's pretty hilarious. We ain't afraid to be self aware and pull punches out here. |
| Freddie became a substitute and eventually had the role get into his head out of dedication and completely replaced the real Pootan as a result. Even his partner got momentarily replaced by Hayashida because he got late for a live show by a few minutes. The completely silent part on Freddie was initially the most glaring problem but Pootan's zingers didnt leave that much zing for the kids to miss after all. Freddie's awfully defensive of his role to both fans and obselete versions of Pootan alike but it looks like he got bored of the role because everyone kept bickering about it though. |
