Well, the characters are a little odd, especially the dude with the blond hair shaped like a giant horn. Victorique does do some weird things, such as randomly rolling around on the floor (though it is a little funny). Lol at her pipe, reminds me of Sherlock Holmes.

I do like the atmosphere to this show, and you can clearly see how this show is mystery oriented. The music does a good job of reflecting the mystery atmosphere. I am reminded a little bit of Detective Conan, though I like how Gosick is turning out much more.

Not too much happens this episode, but I'm looking forward to seeing how everything is resolved (or continued) next week.

Yuuki Aoi sounds really different doing "Victorica"... comparing to other roles I heard from her.

Victorique is one of those mysterious type of girl.. I like her.. <'3

It's her "Mina Tepes" voice :D

I liked it. It had a good atmosphere for Britain and Victorique is completely adorable. The show isn't shy to show blood so that's a plus. For some reason, I got a Baccano vibe from it, though that could just be the setting being familiar (though it's not America)

Kazuya himself is kinda bland, but his interactions with Victorique make the show.

I can see some people finding it boring though.

Decent, I can see myself enjoying this one. Looking forward to the mystery, and I love the ED song~

Yay! It's finally here. I really enjoyed the first episode, it's awesome. Hope next episode will be good as this one. And the ED song is really nice. I like it.

I never thought a show could match Shiki in terms of hair

A lot of Heidi meets Kuroshitsuji cliché and a loli with the voice of Mina Tepes did the choice for me. There was absolutely nothing interesting in this first episode. Dropped.

So far so good. Fun to see it animated.

That main male character is really going to piss me off if all he's going to do is be a buttmonkey with no personality.

Hope next episode is better... or at least they explain why all the school kids are scared of the Japanese kid.

I've found Jonny Bravo's anime reincarnation. Also I'm surprised Kujo didn't cry and say "AN ELEVATOR!!"

The cover didn't entirely interest me but I started watching it and I suppose I'm interested.

The first ep was pretty good, I hadn't expected anything less from it - I guess that it will turn out to be an enjoyable series. Let's hope so.
Oh, and the ed song is damn good.

I've been looking forward to this since it was announced and I can't say I have much to complain about. The mystery was kinda obvious and I'd prefer not all side-characters are just simple and quirky, but I like the setting and love ghost stories so I'm pretty much bound to enjoy this.

Also, the opening blew my mind. I think I'll go watch it one more time.

I've read most of the novels right now and love them, so when i found out about the anime i was really excited. Watched first episode and love victorique even more now! ending and opening are quite nice as well. 5/5!

Love the animation for this show. I want a dress like Victorique's even though I hardly ever wear dresses... Seeing her rolling on the floor like that was cute, too. Her mannerisms are just great. The pipe did give her king of Sherlock Holmes feel, but I didn't really like it. I mean, cute girl in a gothic dress and... a pipe? Okay. Didn't look like she had it lit, though.

Kazuya seems kind of bland, just like someone else already mentioned. It's only the first episode, so that could change in no time.

I. Love. Libraries. My jaw-dropped when I saw the huge winding staircase and the paintings on the cieling. It's kind of stupid, but I always love stuff like that. Like Beauty and the Beast's library, Fable 3's Reliquary, or even the school library in Kami Nomi for Shiori's arc. All in all, I loved this episode.

Only major complaint: The so-called mystery kind of sucked. I knew right away it was the maid. Wasn't that just too obvious? Seems like this is only the tip of the iceberg for said mystery, though, so hopefully it'll get better. I wonder, is the whole show going to focus on this one mystery, or a series of mysteries like Ghost Hunt and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo? Sounds cool either way.
