Great episode. Much better than I expected ^^ But I think it's better to censor Bel's private part a bit XD Too many scene with zooming up at his part ^^" lol

It's out on TokyoTosho, but no subs yet.

Edit: Just started watching it, it seems to be a combination of the one shot and the first chapter of the manga + some other stuff from later chapters. Wasn't that good, it was rally rushed, but the TV series will be much better (I hope). And I sure hope the opening will be changed as well.

Edit 2: After watching the whole thing, I must say that it was one of the worst things I've watched lately. They ruined everything that they could. DO NOT WATCH IT IF YOU HAVE SOME HOPES FOR THE TV SERIES BECAUSE YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

It certainly was rushed and the plot didn't make much sense in this form, but it was still very entertaining, especially since it's an introductory OVA for the series. I say the creators did a great job, introducing the major characters and setting up the situation. Now let's move on to the series! :)

It was much better than Mirai Nikki OVA though. It was more terrible.

There is nothing disappointing in it: the OVA was made to presented on Jump Super Anime Tour to show how the anime will look and feel and later packed with Beelzebub manga volume to hype up the Tv series. It was NOT made to entertain the general public. Thats what the TV series is for.

And I think it did a good job: it showed how it will feel, how some of the scenes will look like, soundtracks, voice-acting and the art style, as well as allowed us manga readers to see some of out favorite characters sooner then we hoped for.

The only really good thing about it was finding out that Kanzaki is voiced by Tommy Sugita.

Apart from that: a rushed bland story, average animation and a terrible opening.

Opening song sounds like from a super sentai show. Bit of terrible.
Itou Shizuka did a fantastic job as Hilda, while Aki Toyosaki seems like a bad choice for Aoi. Didn't like her voice much, it sounded like her character from Samurai Girls.
Oga, Furuichi and the rest are great.
The awesome one is Baby Be'el. The voice is just adorable.
As for the story, it's a mashing of a lot of chapters that was really rushed. Some punchlines weren't delivered well while some hit the mark.

Only manga readers will fully appreciate this OVA, I think.
And since I am one, I really liked this OVA. Got a grasp of how the series will go.
A bit of fixing in the animation and how the comedy is delivered and I will be a happy viewer.

Dah!

Lol, I loved the opening.

And the 'don't do things like talk, use your phone, kick the chair in front of you, smoke or get your willy out, WHAT?!'

Sawashiro Miyuki is doing a brilliant job as Baby Be'el =D

Well the art is not bad and see them animated is kind of nice; I only wish they made Furuichi golden blond instead of having platinum blond he looks kinda weird. The manga is more funny than the anime. I am going to stick to the manga anyway.

lol I actually like Kunieda voice, she doesn't really sound like Yui or other Toyosaki Aki roles. Actually I enjoyed the OVA much better than the TV series.

Great ep, way better than the first ep of the series!
Though, it probably just spoiled at least half of the first season, lol!

The Yankee-sitter is pure win!

it's pretty much if you read the manga then you'll like the ova more so than the first couple of episodes of the anime

ova's are essentially held more true to the manga and i was absolutely delighted to see some of my favorite parts of the manga animated rather than some cut out or altered like in the anime

again, the ova is for the manga readers (also it was a huge spoiler for the first arc)

I know exactly what you mean. I probably just took away a lot of enjoyment I could have had for upcoming episodes. I don't think that was a summary of the whole season; probably just episodes 1-6 or so. Naturally, I can't say for sure since I don't read the manga. I'm just making a guess since the first half of the OVA contained most of episodes 1 & 2.
