The first one I ever watched was Kiki's Delivery Service. Of course, that was so long ago, I can only rember bits and peices of it, so I guess the first one I watched and can rember was Spirited Away.

Kiki's Delivery Service, when I was eight or so.
I just saw it on the video store and decided to rent it.
I loved it so much that I bought it later, and I still have it, on VHS n_n

My first Ghibli's movie was "Howl's moving castle". I like it but the end was a little...hmm...ingenuous? Second - "Spirited away" and it was amazing, magic and most beautiful fairy tale that I have ever seen.

Mine was Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, in the orignal Japanese dub, on the international channel.
God knows how many years ago that was. That was back when DBZ was the awesomest and Pokemon ruled the world. A time before I even knew what "anime" was.
A simpler time.

Spirited Away most likely. That was the first anime movie I remember seeing because I was so young (Besides the typical Pokemon, etc.). Dunno why I liked it, but it's one of my favorites.

Well, since "Castle of Cagliostro" (or the '87 german recut: "Hardyman räumt auf" to be precise) was only directed by Miyazaki and the Ghibli Studios weren't formed back then, I guess the first real Ghibli film for me was "Grave of the Fireflies". <.<

I've actually seen it quite late in the '90s when it first aired on the german/french cultural channel "Arte". ^_^!

I think it was Spirited Away. I pled my aunt to watch it in cinema, so this was about nine years ago and I still have to listen to how "horrible" this movie was. At first I didn't really care, cause I always liked the movie anyways, but everytime I'm told about this trip to the cinema I'm starting to feel some kind of pity for some adults who can't even give movies like that at least a chance... It's okay not to like Ghibli, of course, but I just don't like it when people talk about it like it was just another one of those silly Disney cartoons children watch in the afternoon.

...But it may also have been Princess Mononoke. I probably saw it on TV before that, but I don't remember, because I didn't understand Princess Mononoke at that time so I didn't really care about it.

Surprisingly, my first was my favorite, and I didn't even know about anime back then.

It was on CartoonNetwork once, and I only started watching the second half of the movie, but I was simply amazed. And I completely forgot the title of the film.

Flash forward years later when I've seen various anime, and gave Spirited Away a try. It too my breath away, so I looked to see what other films Miyazaki had created.

'Lo and Behold, there it was, the anime movie from my childhood: Kiki's Delivery Service.

To be honest, I can't remember which one,but I know it was one of these 3:
1.Princess Mononoke(I remember I got it when I was really obssessed with wolves when I was like 13 or so.)
2.Pom Poko(Saw this one a few years back as well. Didn't know what Tanuki where back then or much about asian folklore so I didn't understand back then, but I've taken an interest in and having been studying Japanese folklore lately, so I recently rewatched it and loved it now that I understood what was going on. )
3.The Cat Returns(also saw several years ago.)
