| You'll have to forgive me. As manic and hard to follow as the action was at times, it was still great fun. That ending though... I don't know what to think about it. I'm not gonna dwell on it though. Anyone with even a little experience with GAINAX should've known that they were willing to throw a giant f*ck you at us. I didn't get too attached. It was a nice ride.  |

| This last episode was full of so much epic, it's hard to comprehend. Either way, I was fine with the cliché ending, but then they went and added an awesome twist at the end. I'm more than satisfied with how the series ending, but I'll be hoping to see a second season. |

| That was an excellent final episode; non-stop insanity, hilarity, and action. I like that they waited until the last one to really blow their wad; they crammed about two episodes' worth of events there, with one crazy revelation after another. This only worked because of how (relatively) restrained the first dozen episodes were, and thus, how thrilling the energetic climax was. I also like that the "romance" arc between Panty and Brief mirrored that of typical brain-dead anime romance (shoujo as well as shounen) so damn perfectly, (girl initially doesn't care about boy, sees in him a different light under romantic settings, they confess their true feelings for one another, she gives up her virginity, the end) while mocking it all the way through. Anyways, the first episode or two of this show was a bit rough, and it's still not as crazy, hilarious, and original as the director's previous "Dead Leaves", but I definitely liked the anime. 7/10 |

However if it happens, expect them to deny making a second season. Gainax never does what we except. You have to think outside the box. But they know we will be thinking outside the box.
