lol man I can't believe it! She finally showed some appreciation for all the things her brother has done for her... Been thinking all this time she was broken in the head or something. I'm glad for him... I understand "family comes first" and etc but its always nice to be appreciated for things you do for others no matter who they are in your life.

Her eroge present was meh... I think that comedic present didn't go well with the situation that was going on but atleast they ended the episode well with him thanking her back...

I really enjoyed this episode as well, previous week it all felt a little derailed, I found myself laughing at the first half with kirino obviously acting jealous. Then with all the epic cute bits in the second half it made for a great episode.

Deredere nikomimi maid Kuroneko was exactly what I needed from this episode, Kirino is cute and I was always sure she would dere up at some point because that's the idea of the character right. But Kuroneko was always a wildcard char with a bit of extra depth. In fact thinking about it the series has been all about Kuroneko for me.

'Nii-san' - had that on repeat a couple of times :)

This episode was positively refreshing. I was afraid we wouldn't get any real resolution, as so often happens in anime, but thankfully we're starting to see some character development in Kirino. It's just unfortunate that the series is too close to its end to flesh out that development in any serious way.

You can tell the second part of the episode happens on another day. It could have easily been delivered inbetween, offscreen.

About the laptop, yes, it's Kirino's, but she's been lending it to Kyousuke for him to play games, so I don't see a problem with that.

This was not an act of generosity. Only a halfhearted attempt that shows Kirino really doesn't feel any sympathy for the fact her hobby has caused Kyosuke a lot of grief.

So now you know what's going on on the characters's minds? She cared enough to apologize and thank him for everything he's done. Is that not sympathy?

Grief? Kyousuke agreed to help her when she approached him for life counseling in the first place. He could have walked away anytime if he was truly annoyed. The anime doesn't make this clear, but he actually wants to get along with Kirino after years of not talking with each other.

Hilarious ep. Especially the scene with glasses girl finding his porn mags. Why couldn't he just close his computer? Man the sister is cute. Ah I'll just say. She is so kawaii. Cringe.

And what would that reason be? It seems that I'm missing important information. :(
Well,It is not very important since I never expect full adaption anyway...since there is no LN reader here question about this, I guess its not really important(actually its important and interesting, but I guess they are lazy to point it out) .The missing plot in the Anime has a very long story and I don't know where should I start from ...

Anyway,I think someone with better memory can help me explain this =(

MorningGlory out. i wonder where is the Urahara guy...kinda miss him in the forum

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

I was thinking Kirino being a bitch to Kyousuke has to do with something that happened in their childhood, guess not. :/

It's supposed to be Saori Bajeena though. That's what you get for watching speedsubs.

Oh really, now?

In the anime, they called her バジーナ which is Bajīna in Romaji. If you pronounce it, it will sound like someone pronounced "Vageena" in English. (Japanese pronounce the "e" and "i" differently.) Originally, there is no actual "v" in Japanese, that's why the most common way to imitate this sound is by using a "b" (there are other ways, though).

Her name is an alias, at least the last part is. I think Saori is her real first name. And her height isn't unbelievable for a fifteen year old. It isn't that tall, period. I'm 20 years old and Saori's taller than me by 10cm. Not sure why you find her age so hard to believe just because of her height.

Wow, same here. I'm 20 and she's 10cm taller than me, too.

Anyways, Saori is an asian, right? 5'9" for an asian woman is actually quite tall, and considering her age as well it is rather remarkable. That's why Kyousuke called her a giant when he first saw her. But it's no unbelieveable by any means.

It's not unbelievable i know... but I'm 5'10'' (19 years old)

SHE...... IS
15!
ON TOP OF THAT SHE'S ASIAN!
AND A WOMAN!
In result how is she 5'11"?

Average height of a 15 year old girl is 5'3" (same as Adult woman)
Average height of an Asian woman is lower than 5'3"

Either that or she's not 15 - or - She's not Asian - or - Maybe even both.
(wasn't the Harem for Kyousuke reserved by the name of Saori? At 15 really?)

That sounds to me like a very rare occurrence. Very low chance of happening man.

It is good to see that Kirino told Kyousuke that she appreciated everything he's done for her, another strong and very well done scene in the series.

I beg to disagree. I didn't think the scene was well-done because just earlier in the episode she was still being a bitch, so the sudden turn into ultra-dere mode just feels unnatural and fake for her. For instance, she bows very deeply in apology to him during that scene, but before that, when Kyousuke arrived she refused to bow to him saying "lowering my head to this guy is just wrong!". See what I mean? Not a well-done sequence at all.

However one thing that WAS well-done was Kuroneko's rendition of the word "Nii-san". If I were him, my reason would have completely melted and male instincts taken over, and I don't really know what could have happened to Kuroneko there xD. So damn sexy the way she says it. Props to her seyuu.

Saori didn't have a turn at doing whatever it was she should have done. If I were Kyousuke I'd want as my cheer-up present her taking off her glasses!

When Manami started looking at Kyou's ecchi mags I became so distraught I actually got up from the chair and started doing something similar to walking in circles around the room. Kirino is infinitely more evil than any yandere character from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni or any other. She is PERVERSE! If my sister did that to me I would slap her in the face and/or not talk to her for months.

Is your definition of development mandates a character must go gradually from one behaviour to another, with monologue about her inner thought process rationalising every step along the way? That's what bleach does best and I guess such 'story telling' has an audience, too.

Kirino has always been in conflict when it comes to her brother. You can practically see her frustration/embrassment sizziling from the start of the maid party. She obviously agreed to the cos but actually appearing in front of her brother was just too much to handle, so the usual tsun takes ocver. In ep11 it was just one of the few times tsun is supressed temporily due to Kyousuke's outburst. It may be taken as token evidence to show she has a dere side, but does surely that doesn't mean she will be dere from this point onwards. Just so you know before complaining about the 'regressed development' next episode. Perhaps more tellingly is how both Saori and Kuroneko - Kirino's close friends recognise the main event is Kirino's presentation. Why? That implies they understand the gesture means a lot to either Kyousuke or Kirino or even both.

Kuroneko was pure fan-service in last episode. I don't mean it in a negative way in the manner fan-service is always thrown around in the blogsphere. But at the same time it is nothing special, since liking loli character or tsundere are just pot calling kettle black.

The episode was a bit disjointed in the two parts. There are many elements that can tie the two parts together but were skipped. For example, the pantsu sniffing was more graphic in the novel in that a picture of Kirino sneaking into her brother's room and making a mess everywhere was painted. It links to the first part of the episode because Kirino entered her brother's room and laid the traps. Don't forget in the first episode Kirino did the same, so a picture of Kirino the Stalker emerges.

Good way of schewing true concerns about bad development. While snail's paced development is obviously horrible, going from one attitude to another totally different one in the matter of minutes is also horrible. We are not asking that they show us hours of inner monologues, we just want some sort of clue that her shell is indeed melting, not some thrown-at-the-last minute dere trap to get Kirino on our good graces before the end.

The only 'development' showed was that she's *Capable* of overcoming the tsuntsun shell in response to Kyousuke's emotional state. Nothing more, nothing less. Her attitude can hardly be described as totally different given she spent the better part of 5 minutes in the second half in tsun override mode. An analogy using 'melting' being, ep11 just showed the shell's Melting Point (when Kyousuke's distressed), but the shell is certainly not going to melt under normal temperature.

Whether that is enough for various viewers is another discussion.

Here is my guess. I think it came from the factor of time why she had to make up with Kyousuke in the last half of this episode. There will come inevitable event only she knew at the time. From the preview, the event will be farewell seeing from the fallen PC's display and it seems they will play eroge together happily after all.

Manami is f*cking lovable it's beyond description. And I have to admit that most of this episode was pretty damn funny. Kirino set him up PERFECTLY. Holy sh*t, he never stood a chance. I'm not a big fan of the maid outfits, but seeing Kuroneko in one was just HHHHHNNNNNNNNNGH! YEAH!

As for their "coming to Jesus" moment at the end, I wasn't feeling it all. All the sh*t he's been put through, it would take more than some small token of kindness for me to put everything aside. And he cried on top of that. Damn! He's been abused to the point where one simple, nice gesture completely breaks him. As for whether I'm gonna stop being a "Kirino hater", like hell! It'll take more than this.

Good episode... Fanservice included... Kirino redeemed herself? No I don't think so, but if Kyosuke feels like forgiving her and feeling happier then is okay... Everyone's different right? SO If that's enough for him then ish okay... Okay if all that abuse changed him then that definitely sucks... Well whatever... watching this episode made me laugh and ago aww a lot

First of all Kyosuke's mom was interesting... impersonating Kirino perfectly was really surprising! xD So we finally discovered where she got all those weird traits form hahahaha LOL I bet mom has a secret stash if hot yaoi hidden somewhere harharhar.

Kyosuke bumping into Manami in the market was quite convenient but hey in the end ended up being an excuse to see them in Kyosuke's house this time... and How can you ignore such cute little thing! Reeeeally Manami is pure love and cuteness and moe... and with glasses! >< And Kirino still threat her as shit... as trash.. Dammit Kirino you're such a bitch... and still she gave you a good tasty meal... still... Damn Manami really would make a fine waifu... ME wants a girl like her

And also her reaction to the porn... and the eroge... seriously... she was quite... calm with that... and she actually made that kinky face and almost waggled her eyebrows and told him "Oh screw me" yet she just said " do you want me to call you onii-chan?" LOL... The worst was that he didn't denied the megane porn stash... and couldn't just shut the laptop lid

Oh and the subsequent maid fanservice scene... that was really weird... I wasn't really expecting such... since well we really didn't know that he was depressed... Really since when he was depressed? We never knew such thing before... and that was really surprising.... but oh well whatever the excuse was decent and we had all those fanservice moments... starting with Saori... she looked really awesome... and then Kuroneko's... dang it Kuro was so moe... and so cute... her manga was awesome and her nii-san act was delicious... so sexy... she looked so good on that mid costume with her nekomimi and shippo so cute

I guess Kirino's scene was... good... it's good to see her apologize and thank Kyosuke for what he has done so far for her... and support her so badly... but really... it felt a bit... shallow Like it could be more emotional... form her side... she could've have been more felt... I still felt happy when I saw Kyo cry... It was a really kewl episode

After the father acting tsundere by saying "i didn't do it for you" now the mother acts all tsun-tsun. At least we know from where their daughter got her attitude. Kyosuke should really search the possibility of being adopted. Look at the good side Kyosuke, if you are adopted at least you can fuck the hell out of that annoying little sister of yours without feeling guilty.

Kirino acting like an ass in-frond of Manami and then even trying to discredit him by putting those things in his room. Personally i wouldn't be pleased with just an apology to me like she did later but i would demand that she apologies to Manami too.
She was obviously jealous btw. This episode confirms that she totally has the hots for her brother.

Well a good thing came out of it. You know you got the right girl when after seeing all that staff in your room she reacts in this way.

And she was so cute saying it too.
What the hell is Kyosuke waiting for? Hell forget the girlfriend part, marry her already. The girl is marvelous at cooking, makes Christmas sweets that look like they should be put into a museum, she's always kind, even with your intolerable sister, she's awesome at cleaning the house and to top it all she's willing to call you whatever you like and has no problem with your porn. Just imagine the sexual games you can play with her.
Hell i would marry her and am not even into the whole mee-gane fetish thing.

If I was a guy, I'd have hit Kirino on the head for being a bitch if she was my little sister.
and...would prolly have jumped on Manami for being so fucking CUTE.
ARGH! I'm glad they gave her another screen time.

Manami reminds me of myself, although I have a more playful side, so I would prolly tease Kyousuke if I was her x'D haha
Sorry y'all, but I ship Kyousuke with Manami and I don't give a fuck what you say.
They're PERFECT for each other.
They're already like an old married couple anyway... so HAHAHA xD

Anyways, in this episode, Kirino redeemed herself, a little...I guess. But that's prolly only because this is the 2nd to the last episode.
And I have yet to continue reading the manga... :'o
Might do it, I guess, after I finish the anime.
I mean, to begin with, I didn't want to dislike Kirino...but it was her that made me hate her in the first place, so it's not entirely my fault.
But I'll see...hopefully she will further redeem herself if I continue with the manga (or LN, or something)
Damn, I'm prolly gonna miss Manami a lot when this anime is over ; A; (if she doesn't come out in the last episode either)

Kyousuke has suffered so much crap from Kirino for the past 10 episodes, so Kirino finally not being a jerk to him was nice. Kirino's still a bitch and probably always will be, but at least she acted out positively by her own methods to show she loved her brother and not through unconscious Freudian thoughts played out in a PC game.

Oh yeah, and Kuroneko needs a spinoff! :P
