Tatami Galaxy and Historie winning the grand prizes is a really good thing for all the experimental, mature and carefully-crafted works created in Japan these past few years and I see it as a kind of accomplishment for the style. What's more, "It's for the first time that a TV series wins the grand prize of the award.". |

Congrats for the prize winners. Now, where are my Mai Mai Shinko subs? French speakers sure are lucky. Colorful is excused as it won't be out on DVD yet, while I want want to see Wakaranai Buta (In a Pig's Eye) pretty badly now. There's a bit more info about here, if you are interested. I'm guessing that the excellence award means that Wakaranai Buta can be added to the DB now even though it's a "doujin" movie, so I will try to do that. |

The JMAA don't always get it right, but most of the time they do as this illustrates. It's great to see the best anime since 2007 getting some love since I get the feeling it probably didn't in terms of DVD/B-R sales. |

Fantastic news! Yojouhan definitely deserved this award seeing that it was one of the best Anime this year. It's nice to hear it's that appreciated. |

Well, since they only award animation here and not story etc, it seems deserved to me. Still, don't really care about Yojouhan. Seeing Bokurano manga on the list is more important. |

A mature, quirky sci-fi series animated by Madhouse with great VAs? Of course it would win. :) |
