I don't have the nostalgia shit that Toy Story 3 has given anyone who grew up with it. I haven't seen any of the Toy Stories, but it's unfortunate Toy Story will win because of that. Growing up with Lion King was so much better.

I love Summer Wars.

It's obvious you haven't seen it if you think it's going to win awards based purely on the nostalgia factor. It SHOULD win because it's a fucking beautiful film.
And I loved both Toy Story and the Lion King growing up.

As to some other comments in this thread...the fact that it's American doesn't even fucking factor into it. 3 out of 5 of the directors nominated aren't American, so how is there any bias towards American films? Saying that just makes you sound like a fucking weeaboo.

The only bias I see here in any category is towards their "Gold Sponsors" DreamWorks and Nickelodeon >.>

Honestly, I like Summer Wars more than Toy Story 3, but on the whole, I consider TS3 a better film.
But I'm happy Hosoda's been nominated. C: Despicable Me too.<3

Although I'm more concerned with the fact that Phineas and Ferb has only been nominated for one award, and that was for one episode and the show hasn't been nominated for anything as a whole. I find that ridiculous, because it's quite clearly the best cartoon to come out of America in years.

I've seen four of those (except for illusionist), I'd rank them in the following order (fav to least):
1. Despicable me
2. How to train your dragon
3. Summer wars
4. Toy story 3.
