Even though Air Gear is probably one of if not my favorite manga, they seriously failed this first OVA; well maybe I was mad because of how they animated Kururu, my favorite characther by far disappointingly. Seriously... Kururu is meant to be blond (O!G colored him that way!) and the seiyuu is just so bad. But w/e I'll still be eagerly waiting for OVA2. [img][/img] |

what are you all complaining about? they had to fit so much in just a 28-minute episode.. usually, what we saw would've been at least a double episode in a regular series, if not more, if you add the in-between stuff they didn't animate.. But the fight and the Ikki and Ringo conversation were just perfectly made~ and actually Kururu's hair is PINK, like in the anime, you've most likely seen a fan-coloring DoubleDango ^ also her seiyuu couldn't have been better~ it fits her character perfectly, she's Nia's seiyuu also, if you've seen TTGL and Nia has almost identical personality with Kururu. This OVA is of much greater quality compared to the first series~ wish they'd make a season 2.. but I get the feeling that's never gonna happen.. well, hopefully they make loads of OVAs~ at least as good as this one~  |

"Why OVA?" It is simple OVA's are more profitable. I'll stick with the manga and maybe just peek a little in the OVAs just for fanservice. |

IMHO author wouldn't agree for something like that, and above all nuclear_penguin is right kururu had pink hairs from the begining. Hmmmm about second season... the manga getting weirder and weirder from the ending of the anime. Okay on the begining it was nice shounen story about kids battling each other with AT, and all this had sense from physics point of view(mostly) but further in the story it's transforming into pure fantasy. I liked the explanaiton of powers and techniques but proximity of seeing one now (in manga) is close to zero. Don't take me wrong i like air gear but if they want to do the second season like they done kururu, i think i'll not enjoy watching something like this.
