THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Quote of the episode: "Even if the whole universe were my enemy Kircheis would still be my friend." It doesn't look like they're on the best of terms now. Reinhard looks to be getting leaning more on his evil side. As expected, Oberstein is a very smart and calculating man but it seems Reinhard finds it difficult to ignore some of his harsh advice. He should've explained the full story to Siegfried instead of shouldering all the blame. His first reaction was to save the 2 million people. Although he was tempted, he reserved the option not to go with Oberstein's plan 100%. Good cliffhanger at the end. Ansbach wasn't kidding when he said he'd be gunning for Reinhard even after Otto's death.  ...even a saint needs a soldier to do the dirty work. |

WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CLIFFHANGER WAS THAT? Ok, Reinhard isnt going to die that easily, but still. Dont tease us like that damnit. Quite a few flashbacks, but understandable given the length of the series and at least it wasnt a total recap episode. Good episode, except for the flashbacks, good thing it wasn't an entire clip show. Oh and Cliffhanger alert! |

Whoa... wasn't expecting that sneak attack on Reinhard, and to put that into a cliffhanger? What the heck. Yeah, sounds like Siegfried and Reinhard aren't on the best of terms as of late. Reinhard knows damned well that Siegfried's his best friend, and yet he didn't fully explain himself for what took place. Oberstein was at the center of this in an otherwise brilliant way, taking the necessary measures to ensure his plan would work by lying to Reinhard about the time of the nuclear strikes. I'm hoping that Kircheis leaping in front (presumably) will snap Reinhard back to his senses and remind him who his true friends are, but we have had a lot of foreshadowing that he would abandon Kircheis and the honest righteousness he represents. Holy crap, that cliffhanger! Reinhard and Kircheis seem to be drifting apart more and more, I don't like that. o_O edit: Woah, I definitely do not want to believe what was in the preview for the next episode!  |

So now we are really starting to see where Reinhard is starting to get a little corrupt with power and position, doing anything to make his own personal gains. He hasn't completely converted but Oberstein is trying to see to that. Now I have to watch the next episode even though I'm pretty sure Reinhard won't die.  |

Bland episode except for the ending. Who would have thought to hide a flamethrower/rocket launcher inside a body? YouTube - I post all my gameplay (Kingdom Hearts, so far) videos here (mostly boss fights), I am currently running through Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix on Proud Mode. I am aiming to catalogue all boss fights in 1080p HD using PCSX2 to emulate and Fraps to record. Give my videos a watch and some constructive criticism. Thanks. |

It's sad to see the relationship of Reinhard and Kircheis to get ruined like this. But I must say that Oberstein is one of the most brilliant characters in the whole series. |
