Lool, it's an anime site. I'm assuming the 'learning Japanese' = watching a lot of anime to pick up vocabulary. lawl |

By "learning Japanese" I mean I've had 3 years experience of language in high school, continued personal lessons with a Japanese woman I met who could barely speak English, and now I am keeping the language fresh (and learning more) through Rosetta Stone. I've also been to Japan and studied there for 2 weeks. :/ I'm not sure what everyone else means by "learning Japanese" lol |

(Sapporo(susukino district), Hokkaido) Haha, it's fine. I also noticed all the "learning Japanese" notes in everyone's posts. And found it comical. :D But it's to be expected of anyone who likes anime, I think. As for where I stayed in Japan, mostly Hamamatsu with a very nice family. I also spent a little time in Nagoya and Kyoto. Kyoto mostly for the tourist stuff, of course. But it was a wonderful experience. My Japanese sensei paid for my whole trip. |

XD But I was only one for sensei because she was so cool and I loved the subject so much! <3 We also hung out outside of school. One time she even treated me to dinner. XD |

I actually started hanging out with some of the younger teachers from high school when I was their student. Pretty weird seeing your teacher in an environment other than school haha. |

It's because of the ultra-multicultural environment I grew up in. It's "mon amie" or "mon ami" never "ma amie" even if your friend is female. This is to avoid collision of two vowels. This exists in Japanese as well when 's' gets to 'z' to keep a smooth flow of pronunciation. This is to avoid tongue twisters as much as possible. bla bla bla The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.Niko-kun said: On MAL, everyone who has used the lame rating system becomes a critic and an intellectual by default, haven't you heard? |

I envy some of you :( I only know English, Tagalog, a bit of Spanish and a bit of Japanese (2 years of High School and ~4 years of watching anime). I really want to learn Chinese and Korean too xD |
