i'd like to say that this one shot is great to read despite its wordy panels. the humour and the seriousness is well-crafted. if you people said that this work has the same formula sorachi-sensei used on gintama,, then i probably would like to get gintama as well. |

Knave said: Nayrael said: This was really bad. You people are just being fanboyish because of Gintama. Sigh. The quoted statement is wrong. I never watched or read Gintama yet I like it. Of course some individuals are going to like it, but the majority of people that do are fans of Gintama. Stop being so straightforward, and learn to think. Yeah, a troll ! Seriously guys, don't feed the troll, you're giving him what he wants, that's just another hater/attention whore. ![]() |

TrueUchiha said: characters (the main guy and girl) look just like those from beelzebub... I was wondering when someone was gonna mention this. the main character not so much, but when they showed the main girl I was like wait, what? Wtf is Hilda doing in Sorachi's oneshot?? He must be a fan. xD Like others have said it was very wordy, but rather enjoyable overall, even if it started to get a bit cheesey towards the end. He got struck by lightning so now he can freely use electricity? lolol well at least he doesnt try to make up some retarded reason and waste like 5 pages trying to pass it off as a science like OhGreat, theories... Cybernization was quite interesting actually (if you say i was gintama brainwashed, you should think twice, i dont read or watch gintama making my say in it a bit less biased) If your going to complain that Yu-Gi-Oh! Mangas are on the top NY times manga best sellers, you must not realize how popular Card games are(as well as the fact that you get a free card). |

Some of the humor seemed to have went over my head and I never quite understood the "moldy bread" joke but I enjoyed this oneshot as a whole. It definitely made me laugh at points and the action seemed to draw me in to read more. Wordy but I can deal with that. Overall, I felt Bankara did well as a one shot - trying to get the message through that one should not always live strictly by the rules but sometimes just try to enjoy the "springtime of youth". I can't see it becoming a series though, as that would basically kill the message I feel he was trying to get across - especially with all those quotes. |

The humor was the highlight, guess that was expected though. It was nice, I preferred Bench just 'cause that's more of what I'm in to. |

I quite liked it, and i would love it if the one shot was seriallized!!! ^^ (no, i have not read gintama, and actually quite forgot that it existed in the first place... =p) anyway, i liked bench too, but I like this better. Probably cause i love sci fi and martial arts manga, espcially the martial arts ^^) but... no i loved it. I could tell that it was long, but it never occured to me that it was long because of wordiness. =p |

BakaKawaii said: I was listening to onyanko club during as well, a rather catchy song. It's now some hours after I read it, but I'm still listening to it XD saladesu said: I like it too, despite never having read Gintama. Guess I'm in the minority *shrugs* *Joins minority* :3 All in all, an interesting and very shonen-like one shot. I would love seeing it getting serialised. I haven't read Gintama but watched some episodes of the anime and I still like it. If Bankara has the same structure as Gintama, what's wrong with that while people like it...? ô.o The amount of words didn't bother me at all, the whole awesomeness distracted me, I guess XD Bench was good as well (while I neither read Naruto nor am I interested in sports manga), but this piece combined so many things that I like it better XD I liked the idea with the quotes a lot, too! ![]() |

Didn't like this at all. Bored me, and the art was...eh. I don't think I would enjoy Gintama either. |

Maybe you should learn to think? Fandom just ensures that they will check a certain work because it is of an author who's former work they liked. Hell, I have seen more fans being more critical because they are fans then less critical. People like something you don't. Live with it. Yeah, and you would be surprised how many people will say they liked their work, even if they didn't, only because they read the authors previous work and they liked it. Also noone here bashed on it, so the rest of your comment is just based on past experiences of different work, which in this case doesn't mean jack shit. Once again, learn to think. Also, ReaperEXE, your post made absolutely no sense so i can't reply to it. Don't like it? fine, we heard it, the question is why you're still around trolling. If people liked it, you're not going to convince anybody that it was bad and that they didn't enjoy it, just go read/watch something else. Thanks for the Dragon Quest thingy clearup, that's what I came here for =P |

I've only like, 60 episodes into Gintama, but so far, I like this one shot better. Gintama's so massive that it tends to spiral out all over the place with tons of random characters popping in and then back out (which is true for all long series, this is not meant as a complaint about Gintama) A one shot has more focus and having a confined setting of just the school definitely helped too. Plus, it's more serious. Like most of this manga would make a really interesting moral debate, but then there are all these hilarious one liners thrown in. (Yes, there were running gags too, but I didn't like them quite as much.) Great mixture of everything. |

I hated this. It started off decently interesting and I liked the idea of cyberization but there was wayyyyyy too much dialogue, walls of text in every page, which quickly lost my interest and I just skimmed through the end. The plot's a mess and the storytelling was bland, it was just bancho this and that. And wtf, what's wrong with this school? There's these dangerous cyber gangs running around everywhere with machine body parts that could kill people? Also, I could not care about the characters at all, they were all so uninteresting. The little violence shown in this one shot was lackluster and ultimately senseless and stupid. Oh yeah, and once again, THE WALLS OF TEXT. That's the biggest thing that killed it for me. Gintama beats this down the water. 1/10 |

Started out great then got boring for me afterward. The Cybernization things was kinda cool but modifying my whole body would just feel weird. |
