haha that was pretty funny. I love the ED theme, waiting for the blonde girl :3
For now I don't plan to drop it, it seems really funny. Great episode. Plus, I still can't believe that owner old lady is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro XD

Reading the comments here it is clearly a love or hate show.

I personally loved it and laughed my ass off all the time.

9/10 first impression.

From the op, the episode was great. I felt like I was sitting at Broadway or something.
The best part would be when Tatsuno said that she won. It had like that atmosphere when Kira was in that helicopter.

I expect great things from the anime now, it's like Natsu no Arashi, but better in all areas.

It's typical SHAFT fare...with ugly character models.

It's been a while since SHAFT did an ugly show..the last one was Pani Poni Dash

When you think of maids you think of England? what kind of nonsense is that i lived all my life in Europe and never seen anything that even resembles a maid.
Except for the ones i saw in any anime or in images that originated from Japan.

Other then that this wasn't that bad, it makes me think about Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei but i only saw the first episode of that.
Wonder what kind of episode we will get next week.

I really don't know what are you talking about. I just read the first 2 chapters and they're the same as the anime's first episode (the anime had some extra scenes though).

I had low expectations for this show; lower than many of the others but i was surprised by what we got. Yet it is another Shaft work which seems to result in a similar effect to Natsu no Arashi. They reuse Jun's voice actor in another cafe where nothing gets accomplished. (What is with all these workplace centered shows? I mean Arashi was last fall and we had Working in the spring.)

For right now i am on the fence between opinions, but i am looking forward to next week.

For everyone sick of narrators from last season rejoice in one that actually is meaningful.

Well... the art is pretty damn ugly. I did not expect much of SHAFT, but the kind of ugliness is just just crap (especially that weird girl with the teeth, I mean, wtf?). Some voices are really annoying, most of them the one of the main-girl. I don't know, I will most likely watch one more episode and then decide if I drop it or not.

All I could say about this episode was that it was totally a SHAFT episode.

Sounds stupid but thats all I could say. I LOVE Arashiyama's VA. It fits her personality so well.

I am DEFINITELY looking forward to it.

However I feel like Im getting trolled everytime I see that buck-tooth faced demon.

Anyone who says 'manga is better' obviously haven't read it or forgot how it was. The way humour was presented was worse and character design was almost Elfen Lied level. Not to mention white backgrounds. It gets better later on, but the first few volumes are just ewww.

Watched this without looking at the cast, production or whatsoever because it was listed in Sugita Tomokazu's charas list.
So while watching the ED I was like "this looks like Zetsubou Restaurant", only to find out later it is SHAFT, and I have a soft spot for them ^_^
Was so happy to see that Sugita's charas is the sensei, always wanted to hear him voicing one, and this one rocks! (in some way) XDXDXD
And gosh, I had this "Munch's Scream" face when I looked at the cast list and saw that the old lady is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro! That guy never fails to amaze me!
Anyway, along with Arakawa II, this seems able to keep me company with some good humour.

Nope. Count me in.

One of my most hated VA is Chiaki Omigawa but strangely her voice matches Arashiyama.
Seems like a fun show.
ED is quiet unique.
Overall 4/5

This:

For anyone who wish to see an "SHAFT anime", they will be satisfied, BUT, Shinbou style don't fit with Soredemo! Yes, this is may opinion, but nothing change the fact that series went "Shafted".

Shinbou force all to your style and this is wrong.
One good director provides whatever the series really needs, not put away his qualities.

The one more basic quality of Soredemo is the casual feeling of his aleatory events and character's interactions. The anime is artificial, aways forcing jokes e shouting "look who i am cool".

Can be a genuine seal of SHAFT quality, but don't deceive yourself, that was a poor adaptation.

A Reallly want this, believe in me.

So many days of expectation for disappointment.
Again, this is a good series, but the execution is flawed.

Excuse me but are you reading different manga from what I read? Manga humour at that chapter was even more forced and artificial than this.

The first few chapters were always the weakest period of SoreMachi manga; forced unfunny humour that only produces over-the-top feelings. I didn't even chuckled when Ayashiyama was pretending to be statue in manga. I did in this adaptation. I didn't laugh when fat guy got punched by her, I did in this adaptation.

I don't get how SHAFT direction doesn't fit this manga. Sure, it sort of ruins some of realistic feelings, only slight honestly. However, their execution of humour itself and characterisation was as good as manga, or even better.

This was a little different from what I was expecting...but now that I'm reminded that this is made by Shaft, I'm ok with it. The show became funnier the more I watched. Also, there's just something likable about Arashiyama and Tatsuno.

I'm still trying to figure out what I just watched. It's definitely different from most of the fall shows.

The way it presents itself reminds me of Maria Holic, then I saw that a couple of the staff members were involved with that show. So it makes sense. Hopefully it will get better in further episodes like that show did.

I was trying to figure why Hotori's seiyu sounded familiar. Apparently she voiced Mutsumi(the judo club leader) in Seitokai Yakuindomo.

Yeah, she does. It looks like she is one of those seiyuus that SHAFT love (just like Kamiya Hiroshi) and will always voice some character in almost every show they make.

I liked this anime and it's first episode. It reminds me a little of Natsu no Arashi!, which I didn't like it as much as this one. I had pretty much laugh of the episode compare to other animes of this seasons anime.

Hopes to see more progress of Sanada and Hitori.

They screwed up the subs the first time and released a V2. Which fixes a lot of the problems, like the teacher explaining how he figured she copied someone's homework. The easy way to tell which version you're watching is that in the OP, they changed "Let's be gay" to "Let's be happy".

Yeah I know. I just wanted to verify that the V2 was a real fix. Some users in gg's website commented that even the V2 was horrible so that confused me. For shits and giggles I downloaded the V1 and it DOES look like it was made by Commie (lmao).

As for the anime itself, the art and the animation is top-notch. I wish I could say the same about everything else. Arakawa's eccentric comedy and fact pace worked because the premise was already weird and unrealistic to begin with. In Soredemon's case, it just makes everything look dumb and geared towards the lowest common denominator.
