| The beggining where she threatens the customers was unbearable to watch,but the rest was hilarious. Why does every smiling character with there eyes always closed in an anime have a dark personality. Also why are the patrons not amazed that that squid girl is serving them food with the power of her hair. She's like a Moe version of Doc Ock. |
| Am i the only one who is over thinking this? First of all, that squid girl can break wall with her tentacles right? Why the hell did she just join and work with them to pay off her repairs? If i were her, i would of been like "why should i help pathetic human like you, geso?" and left or something? >_> The way the plot started was retarded. The way plot started was literally like this; since you broke my wall, you have to work for me now. even though you have power to destory the wall with a single blow, i am still stronger than you. WTF? |

| Well this looks like a funny show. I liked the part with using Musume's squid ink on spaghetti. Also, when she thought Yuuta was another squid. The song that plays during the credits I thought was well done as well. I agree with the mosquito scene being cute also. |

| Great start of this Anime, I would have preferred if it was a storyline ongoing rather than having it split in 3 still quite amusing to watch with a rather slow development pas but still great! The characters are also quite nice all have their own very different personality and fists great together! Let's see what this anime series has to offer us! OP & ED where also quite nice and cute! |

| I did not want to see something challenging, so I decided to review this anime series. Therefore, I have been years since I saw again this anime series, but it was fun as if I had seen for the first time. What a great character who is Ika, and one even walk the other characters. The backdrops are simple as a drawing, but the designs and animations are excellent in this episode. |

| The opening basically spoiled that Chizuru was op and I always think the ppl who have closed eyes are the ones who are most likely to be the most dangerous |
| What a nice episode. The OP and the ED were great. Also, the premise was well handled. I liked the squid girl's temper tantrum and her black ink ability. Also, Chifuyu becomes the example of beware the nice ones.  Squid girl's de gesu dialect makes her even more cute. She is quite unfamiliar with the world's population and the hijinks are great. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| It's okay. I can't really say it's unique. A few good chuckles here and there and some setups seem predictable. BUT, I can say that I did not expect them to serve squid ink spaghetti with her providing the ink herself so that's pretty funny. I just hope they don't run that gag to the ground. Some animes just don't know when to toss out gags that has been squeezed out its usage. Oh, and do they have to use "Shynryaku" SIX TIMES in their opening?! That was irritating! As long as it's not like Bobobo, I think I can finish it. Now onward to episode 2! |

| Ika Musume seems to be pretty dedicated, serious.. How should I call her shortly?.. Musume?.. Ika?.. lol, Eiko actually thinks rationally that it'd be hard to take on armies and stuff.. But also, honestly, if sea creatures would want to overtake us - there are far more sea creatures than just 6.4 billions people.. As well as they probably could cause some stuff like tsunamis.. But Ika just by herself - yeah, not enough.. Ika likes to add "desho" to her sentences?.. That twist that Chizuru is so strong is a bit eh.. But I guess that anime needs some reasoning why Ika just stays inside cafe instead of just implementing her plans.. Well, glad that they switched to light hearted topic of dish becoming popular.. ;P Maybe Ika will grow to enjoy company of humans or something.. To humans she is already quite useful.. But now Chizuru shows and starts bullying Ika openly.. This is out of show's feel, to be honest.. I hope we'll get less of this, but show can even turn into this stuff all the time, what would be annoying to my feel, to be honest.. Overall, first episode was quite enjoyable.. But also end with whole Chizuru bullying Ika thing was eh at best.. Show either can continue being great as it was before it.. Or it can start doing this more and even become an annoying show.. So will see, really, how it'll go next.. |
