| At least to begin, we're focusing on oyaji from shoujo, josei, BL, or bara. I think we'll also branch out and include good seinen manga (is there a shounen with an oyaji lead?!), but the main point is: an oyaji has to be a main character. So do you know any other works that feature an oyaji as a main character? List them here! For oneshot collections, please indicate which story is hiding our little older gem. I'll check and add them when I have time to get around to it. |
| There is the seinen manga just titled Oyaji. Uh, it's a gone far with the we bit of the ultra violence, but is a pretty touching story about how a gruff father saved his family for the yakuza, goes to jail and returns to see them before he dies. It is really good if you like super hard boiled titles. There is Seizon -LifE-, a less hard boiled but still touching story about family. As a father tries to solve the mystery of his daughter's murder. Not really cute dudes but still good stuff. |

| Cool! :D Oh I can't wait for those promised oyaji on Kono Tabi wa's cover. I went ahead and added the Sex Pistols.. I was going to go back and see how much they talked about em, but eh.. it's such a mixed bag of characters in that manga so it's all good. I hadn't read far enough in Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari to determine if he's oyaji material, but I'm guessing you have :3 Thanks for the adds! |

| lol, that was kinda my reaction, no offense. Dunt make us feel old~ But yeah, I don't add every single work listed here, just ones that particularly strike me as having an oyaji in a major role. Sometimes they just aren't old enough, are made to appear younger than they are, aren't covered in the majority of the work (incase of a short story collection, but I might make exceptions for VERY oyaji-like characters), or just aren't a huge main character to me (one character in a very large cast). I want pure concentrated oyaji goodness! |

| Walter is listed only as supporting for the main Hellsing series so I didn't include it before--but is he still old in Ultimate? He's main there. Unlike that prequel manga where they de-oyaji-fied him (a crime). |
| Well, Ultimate is just a retelling of the Hellsing manga so he is old in both Hellsing anime, and in the main Hellsing manga. |

| Bloody Monday Season 2 manga features a few hot oyaji guys with bigger roles, though they aren't main, like: Kanou Ikuma, Hino Alexei, Prime minister Otoya, and my favorite Takagi Ryuunosuke. Would that count? And also anime Fate/Zero has some main oyaji characters, such as Rider and Kiritsugu, maybe Kirei also. |
