| Played: fate/stay night(want to replay with the realta nua patch) tsukihime(i liked it so much that if i start it i am toasted ) (i read both of these like there is nothing else in the world and surprisingly my grades were the best ever O.O) kagetsu Tohya(Flower of Thanatos~~~~~~:3)(Hisui inversion impulse= :)))))))) (Tohno family con game= thumps up for Kohaku) EF-a fairy tale of the 2 (managed to get the one piece version before NNLs become official)(really loved it up to chihiro)(having to read yuuko for second time was boring) Galaxy angel(surprisingly favorite ending was mint) utawarerumono(liked the storyline pretty much) tsukihime plus tsukihime errand's fool men at work 2 playing: Clannad Battle moon wars(intermissions can last up to half an hour or more >.>) Tears to tiara. on hold: sengoku rance(true route finished) plan to : Higurashi (all of it) Chaos head Saya no uta (or something like that :P) planetarian Brave soul narcissu(i have problems when the game is running)(it freezes and stucks at a spot. i dont know if i have to get next phase or if it a real problem.) |

| I'll try to list from most to least favorite: Tsukihime Muv Luv Alternative Ever 17 Fate Stay Night Clannad Melty Blood (yea i know its mostly a fighting game..) Planetarian Kagetsu Tohya Saya no Uta Narcissu Muv Luv Yume Miru Kusuri Kanon Remember 11 Air Will take suggestions for more to get heh, i prefer story over all else.. The reason i put Tsukihime at the top is well its one of the first vn's I played and I've replayed it the most, has some special meaning to me. I really like visual novels like these and wish i could make one of my own...actually have a story planned out.. If only I had more Kinoko Nasu-like talent tho ha |

All of them are english, except Daiteikoku, which I postponed in the middle since I don't like reading with ATH that much... So far,I consider Sharin no Kuni as the one who leaves the most impact to me, so I give it 10 although it's not perfect 10. Some VNs actually are in the same level so I just pick the one who leave me the most impression as the king :) Plan to watch : Saya no Uta Ever17 Steins;Gate when the translation done Kara no Shoujo Katawa Shoujo when it's already done maybe Majikoi and all of KEY VN, I can't find any time to play them @_@ |

I specifically reccommend the following for the stated reasons: fate/stay night : this is where I first fell in love with VN's, and honestly, it's still one of the goddamn best VNs to date. If you wanna start getting into VNs, play this first, you won't regret it. Tsukihime : Also a must play, I played it right after fate. It's best to play this after fate though because the terrible art will dissappoint, but the plot and characters are top-notch, so it remains a huge hit! Planetarian : A kinetic, short novel that will easily pull your heart strings. be prepared to cry. kana~ little sister : also a tear-jerker, and celebrated to be one of the few games to really explode in america in the VN world. Sharin no Kuni and Devil on G-strings: honestly, anything from Akabeisoft 2 is astounding in its writing. Extremely intriguing psychological and political turmoil to be found. The next few have actual gameplay elements and may be recommended for them only: Utawarerumono : great story, good strategy rpg, lots pf funny scenes and cool characters. By most standards a kinetic novel, though; choices do not affect plotline. Sengoku Rance: Extremely addicting strategy world-counquer simulation and strategy rpg game. Story lacks a little but characters are unique in their own rights. Big Bang Age: another addicting strategy world-conquer simulation and strategy rpg, it's ridiculous vampire vs tanks vs samurai vs demons vs crusaders might make you balk however. Well thats all for now. hope you found my post useful! :D That's not everything, I guess you missed some great translated VN there...or maybe you forgot to mention them - Ever17 - Symphonic Rain - Family Project - Chaos;Head and some more? |
