Princess Jellyfish

I put them inside the spoiler: Plot Overview/info: A new anime to air on the Noitamina time slot, Kuragehime is an adaptation of a Josei manga (manga targeted at Japanese females) written and illustrated by Akiko Higashimura (東村アキコ). Kuragehime was the winner of the 2010 Kodansha Best Shoujo Manga award. Our main protagonist is called Tsukimi Kurashita, and is a huge fan of jellyfish. Her name is actually based on a little wordplay for the word “Kurage” (jellyfish), where her name could also be read as “kurage”. She moves into an apartment that she shares with other fujoshi (Female Otaku), where there is a no-men rule in place. Tsukimi invites a lady into her room one day, only to figure out that the person isn’t who you think “she”. Noitamina shows tend to be more targeted towards a female audience, so expect more shoujo vibes from this show. Kuragehime is being directed by Omori Takahiro, who has previously directed Durarara!!, Natsume Yuujinchou, Baccano, and helped with the storyboards of Aria. |
