High School Queen time!



Fun episode though I think I'll wait to the subs before giving it a rating since I want to know what was said in a few scenes.

The fact that they showed Birdman from Macross Zero was certainly interesting.

Although I didn't understand much from dialogues, it was an entertaining episode. Lol @ 'perverted pokemon'. ^_^

Also, despite some negative vibes from preview in prevoius episode, 08 has some nice screencaps.

The backgrounds are always going to be top notched since I'm pretty sure a specific studio is handling them and doing them throughout the series. Frontier has had some amazing backgrounds throughout the series.

Some scenes were animated nicely but the character designs were very rough and it definitely wasn't up to par compared to say episode 4 (rough designs but the movement was excellent) or episode 5.

Anyway it was a fun episode and pushed things along for character relations, episode 9 looks like it will focus on Michael and maybe Klan Klan.. and those 2 need some development!

I'll say that this episode had pretty crappy production values.

Ok, watched it subtitled so I can vote : P All in all, a filler episode but quite enjoyable. 7/10 from me and 4/5 in mal episode grading scale =)

Well that was easily my least favorite episode. A nice Sheryl X Alto moment at the end, but otherwise it didn't do much for me.

I really enjoyed this episode, even though not much happened (except for the final part).

I laughed so much at the part where that creature runs in the hall, and Sheryl screams "My underwear!". The reaction of the guys were priceless xD

Filler episode with filler humour, filler animation, filler character design, filler plot and filler interest. Well, it was by far the worst episode of Macross Frontier so far, especially after such an incredible 6th episode. A real letdown.

i tho it was a funny EP from the shower till the end

I am SO glad that GGs picked up this series. They are extremely fast and reliable, unlike those crap Gattai and IZ.

wasnt expecting it so soon but man the animation was horrible but it was a laugh overall

Definitely. Gattai has been extremely slow the last few weeks. All hail GG.

Of course compared to last episode this is a letdown....

I hope they balance everything well....I hope next episode is not just flashbacks and background information.

It would be very hard to top the last ep, unless they wanted to have the climax of the series right away. It's impossibly to have anime without filler episodes. It's a law of the universe. ;)

Yes, it was filler, and equivalent to a Code Geass 'chase the cat' episode, but it was still hilarious. "The Queen and the Princess" LOL. This episode had some nice character moments, like the scene with Kathy, and I love anything Alto/Sheryl, so I was happy. I enjoyed the reaction of the guys as they stared at the underwear on the floor. Freshly worn.... I don't mind if the animation is sub-par in filler episodes, as long as they bring it back to awesomeness on the episodes that really count, like last week. :)

Please, show some respect to the groups that were doing it. Without them, you would have nothing. Even if they're not the best, they still provided us with fansubs.
