The manga adaptation of the fantasy otome game Heart no Kuni no Alice will end in the upcoming October issue of Comic Blade avarus (to be released 9/15/2010). The anime adaptation of the series is currently in the works, although its release has been postponed until further notice.

I hear fangirls crying already. It seems cut short.. after reading vol 5, I'm not sure how it will get wrapped up in just one volume. Still, it was a good ride. I never imagined something based off of games practically no one around here plays would get so popular.

oh well, good to hear the anime is still in production (it's been so long I was starting to think it had been cancelled), I'm still holding out for a full series rather than an OVA...

I'd like to clarify they've said nothing new or specific about the anime production and still have the noncommittal "we haven't outright announced that we've canceled it but have pushed it back indefinitely" stance.

Perhaps they've been waiting for the manga to end in order to properly conclude the anime? It drives me nuts to have a "filler" ending to the anime... (Kobato, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, I'm looking at you!)

I only read the translated chapters and it was short. Looking forward to the anime adaptation. I hope they don't postponed it again.

(This one didn't have much heft to it, so I don't really care if it is ending only after about 5? volumes. Just light-weight fun reading made by corporate video game advertising drones.)
