| According to Sankei news, stop motion anime director Kawamoto Kihachiro passed away on August 23rd due to pneumonia. He was 85 years old. Kawamoto is known as one of the founders of Japanese puppet animation and his unique art style has been receiving international praise. | I, along with other users, fought to allow his anime, along with other stop-motion titles, to be kept on MAL when the moderators wanted to remove them. Winter Days was a unique and very pretty in a non-traditional anime style. I still need to watch Sisha no Sho/The Book of the Dead. I should really get around to it soon. Rest in Peace.
