Hi there, I know that this club is more for the emotional animes. But even if I like anime a lot, I still like manga more ^^ Soo.. I'm just looking for a good, tragic/emotional manga. Got any recommendations? c: |

Hey, I just finished a manga that I found emotional in some areas. The name is Bitter Virgin. "My happiness comes from the kindness of those around me" |

I am definitely a manga person! I do surely know some good emotional stuff out there! 1) Banana Fish -sure, my favorite manga of all time, but it's a political drama but it can get really emotional at times. Also the only thing to ever make me bawl like a baby for an hour after finishing it. Seriously, I cried for a good hour, I wish I was exaggerating. 2) A lot of Osamu Tezuka stuff -rage, tears, joy, it's all there (ok, joy not as much, rage and tears? all the time). Seriously, go read some of his stuff, Phoenix, Adolf, Buddha, Ode to Kirihito, Ayako, Black Jack, so much good stuff! 3) Battle Royale -well the scenario is that a class of kids are trapped on an island and forced to ill each other. Obviously people are going to die. But the series loves to make sure you get to know them before killing them, just to make it sadder. 4) Maison Ikkoku -romantic comedy at its best, the comedy is laugh out loud and the romance drama is so harsh that it's sometimes physically painful to read. |

Hi =), I guess it's technically a manhwa, but I find Goong really emotional. There's all sorts of drama going on and I feel it's easy to see all the forms of anguish the characters go through. Plus the comic relief is absolutely hilarious. Also, if you haven't read it, I would recommend Global Garden. I cried throughout the whole thing. |

Oh man, Hikaru no Go! It's a new favorite easily, but it's also quite emotional, part of it is you rooting for the main character as he changes, to some degree this is a coming of age story....with Go! And there are tearful moments too, go read this, everyone right now! |
