Why are you all saying that was Rikuo's grandpa. Wasn't that his father? It makes no sense being his grandfather since his old now while Gyuki isn't. He was quite young there so i don't think he was older than Gyuki. He can't be the grandfather. |

| Sorry to say but that's the grandfather, the short old geezer. Rikuo's father has a different look but that's for another story. Youkai age and aging varies for each youkai. That's why Gyuki is still like that but the Supreme Commander has changed. Don't underestimate him though ;). As for Umewakamaru turning into Gyuki, he's a human who turned into a youkai. And that was his real mother inside the old Gyuki's mouth. |

| The scene from the first episode is shown once again, but his time background is explored, and yes! this anime finally caught up with what was introduced in episode 1 lol. Looks like things will pick up soon. Looking forward. |

It will pick up soon (we still have one more episode of Gyuuki arc and another episode or two that focuses on everyone's favorite character: Kana (after which she becomes a secondary character)... and then the good stuff comes). I though that was Tsurara Grandmother. The databook confirmed that it was her mother. add spoiler tags plz... |

| Interesting backstory. It's still a mystery where Gyuki originated from. Or was it just a random occurrence that he, as an orb, came into his mother's womb? Is that the Nurarihyon when he was younger? And also Yuki-Onna & Aotabou's parents? It's a mystery how these demons age. It looks like Gyuki has stopped aging for centuries, while Nurarihyon has aged so much since then. Unless he already existed for much longer. Also, some good action in this episode. |
