I just noticed that in the karaoke episode Jin goes into the wrong room. In that room are 4 girls; two with light purple hair, one with short even lighter purple hair, and one standing with long blue hair. What in the world is this a reference to? You never see the faces, but I was thinking the girls from Lucky Star? Although there's no reason for the two anime to be tied together (as opposed to, say, Kanon and Air).

Lucky Star. Because, the director of Kannagi directed the first few episodes of Lucky Star, and he got sacked from KyoAni because he wasn't 'director material' so, you can see a lot of reference for KyoAni. (Haruhi is also referenced)

You can see in the episode where Nagi became a school idol, a person is confessing that Nagi was the 'reason he became director material' or somewhere along those lines. It's actually because of that.

the art looked a bit off
