Noooooooooooo maya dies had me in tears for a bit. I guess thats what you call dying to save your beloved. Honestly this ending sucks i didnt like the fact that she HAS to die where it couldve been inevittable. Aya now has a chance to fill in souichiros heart since theres still bits and pieces of maya with in his heart but i sorta preferred the love triangle.

Beloved? I thought it was one sided? Was there more development to their relationship in the manga?

It was one-sided and remained one-sided. There is a special chapter that shows some events before the ending of the manga. There it is shown that Mitsuomi still loves Maya and Maya reciprocates to his feelings.

Ending felt a bit rushed tbh and I saw that confession coming from a mile away. Still, quite an entertaining manga overall though and I didn't expect Nagi to change so much.

7/10. Much better than the anime imo. I should actually reconsider and give the adaptation a try now.

Maya's dearh really suprised/pissed me off!
She was the best Character!!!
Also, Nagi should have at east tried to bond with Aya!!
Overall Tenjhou Tenge had a great story/plot! Favorite Manga up to now

Just finished this today and got really confused throughout the latter half, things start to go haywire once F comes in, and the feudal flashbacks and feathers serve to make things even more confusing.

Stayed just for the gorgeous (nude ladies) art.

I feel kinda sad for Bob as I liked his fighting style but he is hardly up there among the best. =(

Why'd Maya have to die that was unnecessary. Should've ended with the them altogether again as a team.

It was a complete emotional roller coaster for me. Realizing and finalizing the death of Maya, seeing how everyone returned to the school, the resurrection of Bunshichi, every sing bit of it broke me down. I've been meaning to finish this manga for almost a decade now and I'm glad I finally did.

upon my xth reread it makes me even more disappointed that we never got to see the world roaming arc likely spanning for another decade. in an exclusive it was revealed aya would have eventually developed feelings for masa. yet it was all shelved in favor of a rushed but somewhat sweet and sour ending we got. mottainai!
