DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- An interesting twist, but the story is faiing to be memorabe or epic, I dunno, the charaters seem shallow.. (but the swords are awesome!) Also, the animation is lacking a little even if the art is fantastic. |

| I was hoping to see some field army maneuvers or something but then again battle was already joined when King Fahn's army arrived. Err so now what? I thought they will continue killing each other even after their leaders were dead. |

| I agree with OP, the characters are shallow, I thought Ashram would be a little developed by now, but he's still just a powerful guy who looks cool. The priest is probably the worst. Take him out of the story and nothing would even change. |
| Agree with most posters that the art and setting is nice but the animation is really lacking. I also have no freaking idea what's going on. The sliding dragons are ok, though it reminds of me of cut-scenes of really old video games. It's a good thing this is a short series. |

| That spear from the sky was such a cheap shot. And then sending a bunch of lightning through it to rub some more salt into the wound. Brutal. :) |

| A drop in drawing quality in the beginning, huh. The faces looked significantly different. I feel like Ashram could've easily slain the more-or-less newbie Parn but hey protagonists can't be defeated right? Out of all predictable things, every one of them happened - Karla's involvement in the battle (which was awesome anyway) and the death of an unnamed soldier with a good luck charm (I was even starting to think he wasn't dead but the last 2 minutes of the episode proved me wrong). P.S. Beld bears some physical similarity to Zwordar from Yamato, I think. |

| Sadly I agree with OP. So far I think it's enjoyable but it definitely lacks something. The drop of animation quality between this episode and the first one is also confusing, it's not something I would expect from an OAV. I mean, the monsters killing the soldiers at the beginning are the exact same shots seen in the previous episode, in which they were already used two times... | both old kings died if Karla is the Grey Witch then like a Grey Jedi she is a balance of light side and dark side so i do not think she is the final villain of this show  |
| Fahn got owned, predictably. I guess Karla must've finally felt sorry for the protagonists after they lost every single battle they were in, so she killed Beld to throw them a bone. |
