Wow, this may actually make Bakemonogatari bearable, as I hated the whole 'drop you into the middle of the story' way of doing it (that wasn't even done in an awesome STAR WAR'S-esque style), not to mention that they completely lost the plot at some point to just end up with bad fanservice and crappy (see: lack of) animation.

This might make the series actually be worth finishing, but I doubt it.

Yay! And why would you guys want anyone other than shaft, wouldn't it be kind of uncomfortable to have a series change style so drastically as it would if it transferred hands? Even if you don't like shaft, I'd think you'd like consistency. Anyways, hopefully they've figured out that for your most popular shows, you should release the episodes on time, damnit!

I personally think SHAFT is the only studio which can actually make this anime works.

I mean, I just can't think of bakemonogatari without SHAFT's unusual directions... Other studio will never make this anime more interesting than what SHAFT did.

the only thing that sucks is that they're going to have to animate all those series', which will take forever knowing SHAFT. if they don't animate them, that sucks too cause getting visual novels is a headache in the US and my kanji probably isn't good enough to read everything fluently anyway. ill be looking up like 1/5 of the characters -___-

Holy crap, there are that many novels? Bake was genious, now I'm really pleased with the news of a new anime. i thought there were some strange characters on the last ep and I thought it was just there to fill holes in the story... I never read the manga either so I never knew there was a prequel.
