Yea that occurred to me as well, a long life would explain her emotions and maybe has collected a large amounts of saving making her have that car believable. But who know, I like her and hopefully they dont twist it to the point she is that particular key they are looking for.
In terms of plot events we got nothing really. However there was a few surprisingly fun scenes this episode even without Maya + Abe intereaction. Indeed there is more than meets the eye for that waitress. Don't think she is a short term character since i believe she was in the opening sequence.
-Best moment of the episode
"I hook up with her" (takes photo. Future is him as a skeleton and the teacher thin and with kids)
*turns away slowly and walks in another direction."
Once again, the faces in this series are made of pure win.
Pretty laid back episode, and I was a bit irritated with Fumiaki. I mean really, you'd think someone would try their best if it was their job to save the world. Love can wait! I was at least hoping he'd take some pictures of Mikaze with different intentions in mind. And speaking of Mikaze, I agree with the thoughts about her future role in this show...there's definitely more to her than what we're seeing. Also, her voice made me cringe a bit...
Fumiaki, stop slacking :3 At least Maya's staying epic~
"Why is he out here slacking off after I hit him so much?!"
Maya is hilarious. And I liked this episode -- so many funny scenes. I didn't like the sudden, "Oh, I am in love with you!" bit from the vice principal (I'm not a fan of the sudden, "Oh, I love you!" swoon scenes with sparkly backgrounds), but the cell phone picture future was perfect ^^
Quite the change of pace from the first two episodes, but it should be interesting to see how this develops. And I hope the glasses girl isn't dead! Geez, first she gets possessed by the spirit, and then kidnapped by a moth? Or maybe something even more sinister, ha.
lol@ Maya behind the rockXD Not the best episode, it was slow but they're focusing on Fumiaki and that girl, I forgot her name. Poor Maya, working alone, stupid guy you're totally useless in this episode. Next episode better be good.
Uchida's got weird preferences. Or maybe I do. Whatever, it's not important ^^;
Now, the real question in this episode is; Where the heck did she get that kind of car? x'D
Also, how can she do a burnout like that in 1st gear?
...NO wait damnit! Why aren't the episodes longer? xD..
Tl;dr I love this anime. I love Maya (And even the shadow beneath her skirt). I love Uchida. No wait that sounds wrong.

I lol'd at Uchida's face right after it. xD
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(ﾟДﾟщ) Nope™, probably not.

Then you really need to watch Darker than Black.
Boring episode... Not much going on. Abe is increasingly annoying and seems to think that going on a date with Miss Sexy-Apron is more important than saving the future! Is he really that useless? What's his power?
I'm also getting annoyed at a grown man that blushes at a simple arm squeeze... I guess I don't understand Japanese dates! :)
Anywho, I still adore this show and will count the days until the next episode comes out!
Who is this random new girl?! When Abe was like "oh she's the first one to call me Fumiaki apart from my mom" I was thinking ... THIS IS YOUR MOM! SHE LOOKS LIKE HER! SERIOUSLY! Unless I'm just crazy ... >_<
LOL moments: the picture (kids, him dead) and his face after and all his facial expressions. That Porsche is awesome too ... I don't think they looked like that 10 years ago XD
:O MAYA!!! Hope she's OK ... D: (LOL at her watching them in the tunnel XD)
A bit of a slower episode, but that's okay although I'm wondering how many eps this show will be. The new character seems suspicious: when Fumiaki mentions she's crying over people who died "around her grandfather's time" it makes me think she might actually be really old and not age, or something.
Finally we see that flying creature again! (Well, I'm assuming it's the one from the first ep...)
"To determine the future of love life with a random woman on your cell phone, text FUTRE to 38873 (not a real number). You may be able to predict whether or not you'll live the life of luxury or die with your skeleton next to your crack-head of a wife in the boondocks. Again, to do so, text FUTRE to 38873 (again, fake number. Seriously, don't bother texting it)."
Normal episode. This sidetrack of Uchida/Bunmei relationship with the waitress is pretty interesting but it didn't really help with the overall plot, or even the latest occult case. That cliffhanger didn't have a great effect after all that's happened here. Still, their facial expressions are always amusing, especially Uchida's face after he took that picture.
I just couldn't enjoy this ep since I had to listen to this annoying Nakagawa's voice... damn, not only her voice, she's just this kind of character that annoys you no matter what... (pretty much the same as Yuka from 11Eyes)
